My husband and I went with our dog. My friend from Madison came at the beginning and end of our stay. The house was comfortable and clean. The host responded when we needed him and was friendly and responsive. We would book here again. We loved the secluded area.
The only thing i would change are the living room floors. All else was great

Relaxing and lots of privacy!
We were looking for a place to stay while in town for a concert. Rooster's Nest was everything we could have asked for. It was super clean, private, and had all.the amenities you could think of.
We enjoyed our stay, it was peaceful, comfortable, relaxing, everything was there we needed. Cody, was very nice and prompt with getting back to us. Right away and clean
The nest was even better than advertised! We would definitely stay again and have recommended it to family traveling to the area. Thank you for a wonderful get-away! Very welcoming and relaxing.
Home is exactly as described in profile. Very close to the small town and casino. Good restaurant's. Everything one needs without the big city race. Enjoyed the stay.

From the owner: "Hi Anita, thank you for your review. We're glad you found the cabin clean and well-stocked for cooking and that you enjoyed the convenient location and television. Our cabin offers a rustic feel in the woods, which adds to its charm. As for the musky smell, we're not entirely sure of the cause, but it could be related to the area's natural environment—French Lick is well known for its mineral springs. We appreciate your feedback and hope you had a great stay!"
The cabin was in a wooded setting back off the road. It was quiet and peaceful. It was conveniently located to other towns in the area which were a short drive. It had a nice kitchen, deck area off the kitchen/dining area which was very enjoyable at this time of year. We also enjoyed the fire pit the one night of our stay. Overall I would recommend.

Roosters Nest
Great place to stay. Close enough to town but still far enough away from the hustle and bustle to sit quietly on the deck enjoying the outdoors. Deer come very close to the property. The host, Cody was very friendly and helpful telling us places to go. He was very responsive to our phone calls.
The host was wonderful. Easy check in/check out. We traveled with a 2 toddlers and 3 adults. The cabin was cute and cozy but outdated and honestly not super comfortable for a family although there were 2 queen beds. This fit our family fine because we didn’t spend a lot of time in the cabin. If you plan to spend time “hanging out” inside for long periods, this might not be the place for you. Otherwise very clean, easy to find (just a little off the beaten path) and we enjoyed our weekend stay!
The house is located in the middle of the beaten path after many winding roads. The driveway is thin and on top of a hill. Alittle scary with all the rain we had. The porch and living room of the house were amazing! Beautiful cabin. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom were very pieced together. The beds were not very comfortable but doable. The location is within 5mins to all the shops and food. Big yard with a fire pit. Lots of room to ride bikes and run around if you have kids.

The Worst
I wasn't going to do a review, but seems I'm going to get two e-mails a week if I don't, so here goes. Worst cabin I've ever stayed in, open the front door and 2 mice went running across the living room. Entered the kitchen and low and behold, roaches. The shower is a lawsuit waiting to happen, very slick even before adding any soap or shampoo. Very difficult to get to, and what looks like a not so nice area. Last night there, had a knock on the door around 10 pm, look out the window before grabbing my pistol, good thing I did, 5 police cruisers with 6 officers in the driveway. Said they were looking for a suspicious male that they were told came back to the cabin. Yes, stayed the entire time because I had it booked for Christmas, and had to cancel due to a death in the family. Was told by Evolve there were no refunds under ANY circumstances. Will NEVER use Evolve again, nor stay in this cabin. By the way, if you are brave enough to use this cabin, bring ALL toiletries as there are none in this cabin.

Shared from the owner:
"Leonard, I am sorry to hear about your negative experience. During your stay, none of these issues were brought to my attention, despite my offer to assist with any concerns. Our cabin is in a rustic location, and while we take extensive cleaning measures, occasional bugs can enter when doors are open.
Regarding the shower, it is a standard tub/shower combination. We have never had complaints about its safety. The incident involving police was not reported to us, but we support local law enforcement in their duties.
We provide essential toiletries like towels, hand soap, and toilet paper. However, personal items such as shampoo and conditioner are not supplied.
Communication with you during your stay was positive, and no issues were reported at the time. We strive to be honest and fair, and no valid reasons for a refund were presented. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced."
