We really enjoyed our stay! Was a very nice and clean cabin and a fantastic location. Wonderful views from the front patio and a bonus of getting to watch cows pasture on the next property over. Was a real Western experience. Thank you! We will be back!

Wonderful experience
Lovely home and views. My sisters and I loved our stay. The home is very cute and homey. We saw a whitetail doe with her fawn and the smell of the pines was intoxicating. I would highly recommend this place.
GREAT place, we would stay again. Needs a pair of scissors in the kitchen. If you stay here and want to cook a lot, bring your own tin foil, sandwich bags, plastic wrap etc. GREAT location.

Dark Interior. Very old home. Highway traffic is nonstop and annoying. Landscaping is very nice with sloping hills and viewing cattle and deer every morning and evening.

Hi Terrie, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- The home was built in the 1950s, and while many guests appreciate its historical charm and authentic style reflective of the local area, we understand that older homes aren’t everyone's preference.- While the home’s convenient location near local attractions does result in higher traffic during peak season, the property is set far back from the highway with ample privacy, a unique feature compared to other local rentals.- We've provided multiple lighting options throughout the house (including floor lamps, table lamps, and overhead fixtures) to create a bright and comfortable space, even on cloudy days. Thanks for your valuable feedback.

Only enjoyable part was the location. We stayed for 7 days. Don't do that. As soon as you get there you get greeted with unseen RULES!! No use of the acres with creek they talk about in the listing! No trespassing signs all around with barbed wire. Totally helps with the view...(main reason we rented the place) Also the listing talks about use of the grill, a bunch of pictures of it in the listing, but then there is no gas! Neat fireplace inside you cant use either! Also the is a huge bug issue!! We stayed during Sturgis bike week, and with no notice owners came rushing down the drive way to come take trash out!! glad we were on porch to see it was not a threat as we had 2 kids with us, a notice would have been nice!! Used our own trash bags as they had none, we had to get our own toilet paper, each had a towel for the week, and the place was not cleaned all the way. Also a big issue is the flooring!! The kitchen and hall are a trip hazard!! Bubbled up more than an inch throughout kitchen. Different flooring in each room so there is huge transitions in each doorway to stub feet on. I am absolutely shocked nobody else has said any of this!! We would NOT have stayed knowing just some of this.We noticed no a/c or laundry and hope you do too.

"We always want our guests to feel comfortable and well taken care of. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- Safety is a top priority, which is why rules are in place regarding the use of the creek and acreage. These are meant to protect all guests and prevent the risk of serious injury.- The property is professionally cleaned and prepared before each stay, and a manager helps ensure supplies like trash bags and paper products are provided. We will be double-checking to prevent any future oversights.- Seasonal maintenance is scheduled to address the kitchen and hallway flooring during the upcoming off-season.- An ant issue occurred for the first time in years during this stay, but it has since been professionally treated and resolved.- We encourage guests to reach out during their stay so we can promptly address concerns, as we’re always responsive and happy to help. We’re sorry this guest left feeling frustrated, but we’re confident future travelers will enjoy the home’s beautiful setting and welcoming accommodations."
