Lovely villa in a great location about a 5 minute drive to Port Douglas or a 10 minute walk to Four Mile Beach. Excellent recommendations from owners re restaurants and things to do & great communication. Would love to come back for a longer stay. So much to like!

Hi Colin, we were under the impression that you were happy with your stay, may we suggest that in future and in fairness to the host, please let the owner know during your stay if you are unhappy - as that gives us the opportunity to fix / correct anything that we can to make your stay enjoyable. We know you stayed during torrential rain fall that was a shame too. In fairness, you arrived early when we actually had a painter finishing up the outdoor timber staining - so we are very mindful about maintenance. We have a area in our laundry cupboard for spare globes and batteries too, that we could have directed you to had we known also. We hope you otherwise enjoyed your stay in Port Douglas.

Great option for Port Douglas

A group of 4 of use had a great time at the house. It's a lovely property as part of a bigger resort complex. It's quiet and feels a 1000 miles away from everything in a good way. Makes for a relaxing time away. The garden could do with a little more maintenance and some light bulbs weren't working. But overall a nice stay and great house. Thanks for having us.

We are always happy to replace globes should this occur and our villa garden is maintained weekly, so I'm guessing the resort 'bush chooks' visited our villa, they love to dig up garden beds and make general havoc in the resort gardens :/ Glad you had a great stay, hope you can return again one day!

Lovely stay in this beautiful villa in Nimaya. Gorgeous villa with fully equipped kitchen. Stunning location in balinese style gated gardens with fully amenities. Very happy and would love to stay again!

Lovely pool but In need of a lot of maintenance!

Whilst it does have some fabulous points, such as the privacy and the lovely pool, it was the maintenance (or lack thereof) and the little things like a manual that shows clearly and easily how to turn things on etc. After a week of frustration we were fed up, Lisa came over on day one and was great but there is no fall back when other things cropped up and we were not comfortable continually having to contact her. A manual is essential, doors that lock, doors that you can easily open, a mat outside bedroom doors rather than having to sweep dirt away every day............enough already

Thank you for your feedback Peter. We have outdoor timber maintenance booked in throughout April, it has been hard to find a big enough gap and then to wait on local tradies availability has been trying. We do have a Guest Compendium in the kitchen with instructions on all equipment. I personally checked all doors today and they do all lock. We have now purchased new mats for outside the bedroom doors :) and apologise for this inconvenience. We are glad that Lisa was helpful and that you enjoyed some aspects of the villa like the pool and privacy.

Tired and in poor condition - ask for current photos before you book.

This villa is not up to the standard of other Niramaya villas we have stayed in that have been upgraded and cost the same amount. The photos on Stayz are very outdated and misrepresent the current standard of the property. Not the luxury we were led to believe.

Hi Tzivia, Thank you for your feedback, we wished we knew during your stay how you felt as we would have loved to have rectified any concerns during your stay. All our photos are current and show all current furniture and fittings so we are a little perplexed with this comment. One photo of the view out to the lake is different due to the lush garden growth, which we allowed to give our guests more privacy. We are sorry that you felt otherwise but hope you loved your time in beautiful Port Douglas.

Niramaya Bliss

This was my second visit to Niramaya, albeit 9 years apart, and the resort setting and villas are just as amazing now as it was nearly a decade ago. We had a magic stay at Niramaya and Villa 14 is beautifully appointed, well maintained and has a level of serenity that has to be experienced to be believed. Thanks Grant, Sharon and Lisa for making available a wonderful slice of tropical paradise for a very reasonable rate. It was a perfect holiday for sun deprived Melburnians.....we’ll be back! Absolutely gorgeous!!

When I booked this property I knew it was going to be good but it was truly gorgeous!! Lovely quiet location in the most stunning grounds. Villa is well kitted out, clean & comfortable. The pool area is beautiful & perfect for relaxing. The hosts are lovely & were fantastic to deal with. Cannot recommend a stay here high enough!!

Fantastic Villa

We have been coming to Port Douglas for many years and this has to be one of the best places we have stayed. The villa and surrounding resort grounds were just so peaceful. Sharon and the team made the process very easy and were great communicators the whole way through.

Amazing

We loved our stay at Niramaya! It was our first holiday with our bubs and we also celebrated my 30th. I have to say that the property was incredible. The facilities were fantastic and super family friendly. We fell in love with port Douglas and we will return yearly!! Highly reccomend.

Wonderful Villa in Port Douglas

This Naramaya rental is beautiful for either 2-3 couples or a family. The unit is extremely well equipped and the upkeep was beautiful. It came provided with all the condiments for cooking so all we needed was basic groceries. The location is extremely quiet with the only noise the birds chirping in the morning. The communication and check-in with the owners was seamless. The units are very well located near the South end of 4 mile beach and it is just a short drive into Port Douglas where there are lots of restaurant choices. The IGA grocery store is 2 minutes away. We came to Port Douglas on 3 of the hottest days ever recorded in January. The plunge pool and pagoda were wonderful after a day out in the heat. The only issue we had was with the AC keeping up with the heat in the master bedroom at night. It was fine but just able to keep up with the heat. If you like it very cold at night (<22 C) you'll need to sleep in one of the other two bedrooms which were fine. The main house AC was able to cope with the heat just fine. If you are coming in the main tourist season in the winter there should be no issues. The layout of the Niramaya units is similar throughout the resort so I would expect the AC capacities to be the same in all the units. I would highly recommend Niramaya as a great location to stay in Port Douglas.

A lovely oasis set amongst lush gardens. It was a joy to stay here..so much room and probably one of the best stocked kitchens with cutlery pots condiments a plenty.
