Our stay for the weekend is very relaxing, we enjoy the pool, spa and its close to the beach as well. Property is clean and the host is very nice and easy to talk.

Nothing overlooked at this holiday home!

We stayed for the weekend at Jane’s place as a getaway to celebrate a few birthdays among us. The whole place was very clean and the pool and hot tub were great to have. The outdoor dining set is really large and great for communal meals. The kitchen is really well stocked so we had no issues cooking as well. A few of us commented it was one of the nicest homes we’d ever stayed at. Highly recommend!

Inaccurate listing

The house itself was a nicely renovated space. Mostly clean although we did empty a very full vacuum head when we tried to vacuum the rug and found it was not working. Host also asked us to transfer rubbish left by previous guests, which we agreed to. The listing was not entirely accurate and was let down by the broken, unmaintained pool. As we are not pool owners, we didn’t pick up on the fact the pool was not looking right from day 1. We used the pool daily and the amazing crystal clear pool portrayed in the listing was a huge reason for booking this particular accommodation. By day 3 of our four day stay the pool was well and truly green and 3 of our young children were experiencing gastro like symptoms, as well as a severe eczema flare up for our daughter who managed to stay clear all holidays. The host was a good communicator up until the point we raised the issue, after which she gave a small refund for one night and the extra fee she charged to have some guests. She refused to refund the cost of a second night as requested despite the health risk posed to our children and the fact we left a whole day early as soon as we realised the issue would not be resolved any time soon. When we tried to communicate via the VRBO platform we were told the host blamed us for her broken pool. Really unfortunate that we didn’t have the knowledge to pick up on it from day one as we would have definitely left that day and had the chance to book elsewhere. Really disappointing overall.
