We loved our cottage #1. It was perfect for our getaway. The kitchen is well equipped. Pots and pans. Coffee machines. Lots of dishes even giant coffee mugs. The bed was comfortable. The tub was so nice and relaxing. Bring your bubble bath. The full size fridge with a freezer came in handy. Lovely stay.

The stay was excellent. The owners we're very responsive and helped my girlfriend and I out a lot for getting around, giving advice and tips.

The cottage was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Cyril is very friendly and genuinely cares about your experience with his cabin. However, we felt there was room for improvement to make the cottage even better, The linens were a bit strange as flannel pillowcases were provided as tea towels to dry the dishes. Some of the curtains really need replacing. The sofa and chair were old and uncomfortable. Backing out onto the road was a challenge every day so a place to turn your car would be helpful. Also, it would have been nice to have a view of the lake beyond the trees. Having said that, the cottage has lots of character with a nice large bathroom. There was lots of variety of streaming services to choose from if you enjoy a bit of tv in the evening.

An absolutely wonderful place to stay. Close to everything you need or want to see in Cape Breton. Cyril was the absolute best host ever. Can’t say enough about this property. We will return for sure.

Cabin in the woods.

It was a cute little cottage hidden in the woods. Seen quite a few deer. Host was incredibly kind and helpful. Their was a washer and dryer just a little walk away, which was very helpful after being on the road for a week. Just 10 minutes from Sydney.
