We had a lovely stay at the Jesse house. We have stayed at both houses and love them both. The Jesse is lovely and we really enjoyed the location, the comfort, and the relaxed feel. we love being able to walk to local eateries, as well as downtown, and stroll through the area. We will definitely be back to Pensacola next year and will hope to stay here again. Cindy is wonderful, as she is readily available if there is an issue--not that we had any. I encourage you to stay in one of these historic homes in a quaint Pensacola neighborhood.
Perfect place for a quick stay in downtown Pensacola! Off-street parking is a huge plus. Host was very responsive.

Reviewer Comments:
I had a pleasant stay in this shotgun style home right in the heart of Pensacola. It was clean, well appointed and convenient to restaurants and night life. I would gladly book another stay!
Loved staying at the Jesse. It was nothing fancy, but very clean and had everywhere needed. I didn't like paying an extra 48 to VRBO, so I will never use them again!

The Jesse met all our needs, convenient location, good access to everything, clean and accurate listing. We would definitely consider staying here again.
Great location to walk downtown, local breweries, restaurants, coffee shops etc. The home was clean and comfortable for our 2 night stay. The beach amenities provided were a great extra touch!

Great Location, great walkable neighborhood..
Inside the cottage it is a bit worn but workable.
This little cottage was perfect for a couples getaway. Close to downtown to enjoy all things offered by Pensacola on Palafox. Cozy and clean. A/C worked very well and the bed was very comfortable. Very nice small kitchen with just right appliances. Host was great with notifications. We had no issues with the property, so never had to contact them.

If you’re looking for simple accommodations in a quiet and friendly neighborhood, this could be your place. The bed is very comfortable. I’m kinda tall, so finding a long, comfortable bed is a luxury in itself. The kitchen is adequate for basic needs, and the bathroom shower had perfect water pressure and temperature. The neighbors are very friendly (one helped my girlfriend figure out how to operate the Smart TV), and the geckos enjoy bobbing their heads on the front porch to Indie Rock music. We loved our stay, and hope to cone back.

Location & Price Worth It
Lots of pros & cons about "The Jesse" but overall the pros outweighed the cons. Pro 1: Location close walking to main downtown & driving to beach. Pro 2: Price for location. Pro 3: 2x Strong Window AC Units. Pro 4: Great on-call customer support. Con 1: Very old property. Pealing paint, squeaking floor, grungy feel, some things falling apart/down, etc Con 2: Extremely sandy floor when arrived. Con 3: Communication all occurred outside of VRBO app (Phone calls, emails). Con 4: Did not receive check in details till 12:30am after having to call 24/7 support number.
Generally great for someone who wants to be downtown but does not care about luxury.

Reviewer Comments:
I booked this little house for my business colleague because it is around the corner from me and his accommodations had fallen through at the last moment. I was very pleased that this home was available on short notice. There was a lot of confusion, however, on the host’s part as to when he was supposed to arrive. But once he got in the place, it was warm and cute and clean and very adequate for what he needed. The space heaters worked great even though he experienced the biggest snow storm the panhandle has seen in about 100 years. He was asked to drip the water in his faucets overnight, which we Floridians in older homes know all about. He was unfamiliar with it but did a pretty good job, all in all. Overall, the stay was good and I think, most importantly, the price absolutely cannot be beat for the superb location.

I enjoyed my stay here. The house has tons of character in a great spot. The staff were very helpful with any issue and the bed was very comfortable. If you stay definitely take the time to take a walk around the neighborhood. Very beautiful. This house was built as a shotgun shack style common in the region in the early 1900's and shows a few signs but it lends itself to a truly authentic place to stay.

Reviewer Comments:
The house was in a great location to downtown and restaurants. The house is a little tired and worn. Maybe needs some TLC. The blinds need to be replace because they were broken. The carpet in the living room needs to be cleaned or replaced. We were disappointed about things that were dirty and not kept up. ex.: Dirty sponge with mold in the kitchen. The trash cans needed repairs and cleaning. The one luggage rack was broken. The cable TV was basically nothing interesting to watch luckily we had a computer

Reviewer Comments:
We were disappointed in the condition of the house: no curtains in living room and kitchen. Both sets of locks on front door and back door were very loose and hard to get into. The art work was missing in the living room. Bathroom selves were almost falling off, and toilet paper holder is hanging by one screw. The kitchen oven door was dirty. The floor needed a good mopping. We were never able to park in front of the house, like it said in the ad. The photos in the ad were very misleading. It doesn’t look like anyone is making an effort to keep this property up. And the worst thing is, we were visited by several Palmetto bugs.We believe the pictures of the property do not match reality. It’s our opinion that alittle TLC could massage The Jesse into the charming little home that it can be.Allison and Jeffrey Thompson
