This was the best backyard and beach area we have experienced through the years of staying at different homes on the island. The only complaint is that we only had one bathroom for the 6 of us. There is no air conditioning but there are plenty of windows and ceiling fans to keep it comfortable. All in all a nice and enjoyable experience. We plan to return.
Great Location! Excellent Beach, with beautiful views from the lovely Adirondack chairs! Kitchen had everything you need, and a great working outdoor grill. Lots of games, movies for the kids. Kayak was used every day! Campfire pit was excellent too!
Great communication with Host! Would highly recommend this property!

It is a very cute cabin and a wonderful location with a great beach and privacy, but the overall cleanliness and upkeep is a bit lacking. I love all the windows, but they were filthy.... . The description of what to bring should be clearer: Linens is to include sheets and towels and toiletries apparently must include toilet paper. That was a bit of a surprise. Having no WIFI or cell reception left us unable to contact the owner while we were there.. But all and all we made due and had a good time.
Pictures and description in the listing do not do this property justice!
Walking into the great room with the wall of windows looking out to the lake took our breath away! The entire property was clean and well kept...like being at a resort.
Touring the sleeping areas was equally impressive. With 5 queen sized beds, our party of 6 was more than comfortable.
We arrived on a VERY hot day. Within minutes of turning on the massive ceiling fans throughout the cottage, it cooled off exponentially to the point that my mom put a light sweater on 😊
I tend to pack everything except the kitchen sink when renting a cottage because "fully equipped" usually does not include everything needed for a week with a family. Well I really over packed for this stay because i didn't need to dive into my own supplies at all.
What we did need to bring was bedding, towels, toilet paper, toiletries, all our food including spices, condiments, etc.
Communicating with the property owner was great! She responded immediately to any questions I had before our arrival.
Things to note:
▪︎There is no wi-fi and cellular reception is spotty. We didn't mind this, since we went to the island to unplug. I had 3 teenagers with me and they didn't mind at all since there was enough to do to keep them busy...swimming, games, bike rides (yes there are 2 bikes onsite).
▪︎There is a kayak, but didn't find lifejackets. Next time i will bring our own.
Will definitely be booking this location again!
