The property is great for large groups and our family had a fantastic time. BBQ patio and kitchen great for family meals. Cabin layout is great if you need to nap away from the noise of family.

Terrific Stay

We stayed at this quiet, fun place to get out of the Phoenix heat August 9-19, 2024. The grandkids and the dogs had a great time romping around in the large, fenced yard. It was very relaxing to sit out on the patio and watch as we were visited by many elk and small deer throughout the day. We gave the house a 5 star for cleanliness even though an unusual mix-up occurred and the place had not been cleaned when we arrived. We called owner Deon who had relatives come and clean the place very well while my family went out to dinner. Deon was very apologetic and more than made up for the mistake by compensating us very generously for our trouble. Communication with Deon was great both before and throughout our stay. The home is laid out very nicely and we did not feel cramped even though we had nine people and two dogs staying there at times. The appliances, AC, and grill all worked fine. We have stayed many places in Pine and this is our favorite. We will definitely stay here again.

Exceeded our expectations

We recently had the pleasure of staying at a the “Walnut Cabin” in Pine, AZ, and it exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the cozy and inviting atmosphere. The cabin was incredibly comfortable and spacious, making it the perfect setting for a family vacation. One of the highlights of our stay was the daily wildlife sightings right from our doorstep – a true treat for nature lovers! The surroundings were peaceful and relaxing, providing the ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The owner was exceptionally friendly and helpful, ensuring that all our needs were met and that we felt right at home. The cabin is also pet-friendly, which was a huge bonus as we could bring our furry family members along for the adventure. Overall, our stay in this treasure was unforgettable. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat in a beautiful setting. We can’t wait to return!

Beautiful Cabin

Our stay at this cabin was fantastic! Cabin had everything you needed from kitchen supplies, towels, blankets, propane for the BBQ. Didn’t run into a single problem the 3 days we were here and we all LOVED our stay. Great acre yard for the kids to play in and the views in the morning out of the living space are beautiful! Got to see deer, skunks & squirrels in the yard every day we were here.

Great for large group

We stayed for a week starting the day before Thanksgiving for an elk hunt. We had 8 adults and 4 children and had a great Thanksgiving dinner! The best aspects of house: very well-stocked, large kitchen and beautiful, large yard for not only children to play but to see deer, elk, squirrels and birds ALL day, every DAY!

Pine family gathering

The thermastat didn't work and we found ourselves freezing. The contact person I had been dealing with all along did not respond. Reached out to 2nd contact that did get someone to fix it. We were however without heat for 9 hrs. The property is spacious which is nice for family gatherings. We enjoyed seeing the wildlife.

Nice retreat in the Arizona cool country

We were there to escape the heat in Phoenix in July and the property did not disappoint. We really enjoyed the large fenced yard with big shade trees and watching the local elk grazing in the yard with their newborn calves.

Still Wonderful/ Wildlife in Yard

We've been to this property once before and it is still lovely. Great location just off of Pine's main street and back far enough into the woods that no one who doesn't live here will drive by. It's a large house with a generous living area, the master is set off from a wing of three guest bedrooms (one has only a daybed, good for small children). The yard is not somewhere you want to run around because there's a lot of elk poop, lol, but there are plenty of neighborhood walks to take and a lovely little patio. And the reason there's elk poop is that THE ELK ARE IN THE YARD EVERY DAY (in the afternoon when we were here in July). At one point, there were 25 elk in the yard, just hanging out, and we could watch it all from the huge picture window in the living room. Amazing (all the elk babies were a real hit with us). In the evenings we used the nice tv in both the living room and master with streaming services, the Internet connection is good, and there's nearly everything you need to cook meals (big cost savings). Bring your own storage items (saran wrap if you use it, baggies, tupperware). The furniture is well loved, but comfortable (the two chairs and small table near the window are wobbly and the recliners are...abrupt, but soft). There's plenty of room for everyone to lounge around. We had a wonderful time the first time we were here and we had an even better time this week. Thanks!

Amazing cabin

Such a beautiful cabin the yard was very big. Elk would come in the morning and night time to the front yard to eat the cool thing is that the cabin has a big window facing the front yard that would allow you to capture every moment. Big thanks to Roma and Phil they worked everything out for us made us feel like we were at home. Will be back!

Cabin in the woods to relax, unwind, and have fun

Great cabin. Spacious and accommodating for our group of 13. Modern, updates have been made. Large concrete deck where we sat and viewed the Elk walk through the yard. Large yard to play all kinds of sports game; bring your own.
