The Space:
Enter into this charming cottage on the bottom floor where you'll be greeted by a well- appointed kitchen. Equipped with essentials and appliances, including a 2-burner stove top and a portable bench-top oven, it's the perfect space to whip up some tasty treats. To your right, discover a bathroom and a laundry area, complete with a walk-in shower and a combined washer-dryer for added convenience.
Venture through the kitchen to find a cosy dining area nestled alongside a lounge nook, set with a charming 4-seater dining setting. Off to the side you'll find the downstairs queen bedroom, featuring a snug queen bed and a built-in wardrobe.
Making your way up the stairs, you'll be greeted by the character-filled living room—the perfect space to kick back and relax. Curl up for a movie night on the Smart TV, lose yourself in a good book, or simply unwind on the lounge. An additional queen bedroom is located here, boasting a plush queen bed and a handy study desk for our travelling professionals.
This lovely cottage is tastefully furnished with your comfort in mind. And with unlimited WiFi and free onsite gated parking, you'll have everything you need for a delightful stay. Best of all, it's just a short stroll away from the city centre, putting all the amenities and eateries within easy reach.

The Neighborhood:
Launceston is a beautiful city blending both city and country charms, with heritage streetscapes, a slice of urban wilderness and gourmet food and drink available at every turn. We aren’t just biased, many agree, with Launceston named Australia’s best town to visit in 2022!
Nestled amongst these iconic buildings, you will find many delicious cafés and restaurants, an array of shops and boutiques, a vast range of cocktail bars and pubs and many amenities and recreational spaces.
Launceston has many things to see and do including the vibrant Harvest Market every Saturday morning, the Princess Theatre, hosting local, interstate, and international performances, the Star Theatre for a cosy, cinematic experience, and many pubs and venues that host amazing live, musical talents.
Often referred to as the 'Lygon’ Street of Launceston, you will find some of Launceston’s most popular eateries and amenities on the illustrious Charles Street. George St is also known as ‘Eat Street’ with a range of restaurants, bars, gin houses and cafes to cater for most tastes.
The Cataract Gorge is a spectacular natural formation where you can enjoy long and short walks, fresh water swimming basins, the world's longest single-span chairlift and vibrant peacocks! An additional, unique way to experience this attraction is via the Tamar Cruise vessel, which cruises through the waters that carve between the rocky formations.
The City Park which is known for its beautiful oak tree gardens, playground for the children, a plant-filled conservatory and cheeky snow monkeys. Nearby, you will find Penny Royal World. This attraction provides you and the family with a fabulous day out, with boat rides, rock climbing, rope courses, and more found here. For the adults, Penny Royal also provides a beautiful atmosphere where you can enjoy a wine or coffee.
An additional area to note is the Seaport Precinct. Here you will find some of Launceston’s most beloved restaurants and bars scattered along the edges of the Tamar River. Restaurants to note are Mud Restaurant and Bar, the Levee Food Co. and Spice. Across the bridge you will find the Riverbend Park for all day play entertainment, the Boathouse Café and Silo Hotel.

To get the most out of your stay, to be able to explore all that Launceston and its surrounds have to offer, a car is recommended. Additionally, there are many alternative options listed below:
METRO BUS SERVICE: Metro bus service provides transportation throughout Launceston and its surrounding suburbs each day. To access timetables, routes, and prices, please visit the Metro Tasmania Website.
FREE TIGER BUS: The bus travels around the city. There are bus stops located nearby outside Princes Square Park and the Launceston General Hospital. INTERCITY BUS SERVICE: Tasmania has you covered with a variety of intercity bus services to make your city-to-city travels a breeze. If you're in the North West region, which includes Burnie, Wynyard, Devonport, and more take a peek at the 'MerseyLink' bus service website for their timetables. If you're heading to or from Launceston and the southern spots like Hobart, make sure to swing by the 'Kinetic' website. Please note that 'Kinetic' has you covered for some routes to and from Devonport as well.
ELECTRIC SCOOTERS: You will find purple electric scooters scattered around Launceston. To access these, please download the App ‘Beam’. Please wear the helmet provided and be safe!
BIKE RENTAL: Roll Cycles at 145 Wellington St, Launceston offer bike rentals with options to suit most riders. Whether you are taking a leisurely stroll around town or taking on our world-famous mountain bike trails, Roll Cycles have you covered.
UBER: Uber is a popular form of transport used by many locals and tourists. To use, simply download the ‘Uber’ app on your phone and book a ride to your destination.

Other Things to Note:
The apartment is spread across two levels. Downstairs features the kitchen, dining area, bathroom-laundry and the first bedroom. Upstairs houses the main living area and the second bedroom.
Please be aware that this property is situated on a bustling main road, so you may experience some traffic noise from time to time.
In the kitchen, you'll find all the essentials you need for your culinary adventures, although please bear in mind that the oven is a portable bench-top version.
