We had a great stay at Hawthorn. We were staying in Melbourne for the AO & it was was quite easy to get the train to Richmond from Auburn.The apartment was spacious, spotless & very comfortable.Our host was very responsive & easy to deal with.I would stay here again.
Nice property, fully-equipped, very clean. Convenient for both visiting Swinburne and taking the train. The only drawback is that one half of the king bed is extremely firm. There were extra comforters in the unit that we were able to pile on top for cushioning, though.

Thank you very much, Terra, for your feedback and for letting us know. We sincerely apologise that one side of the king bed was too firm for your comfort. Unfortunately, a previous guest had specifically requested a firm mattress, and regrettably our cleaner did not swap it back to the medium mattress setup before your stay. We must say this has never happened before. Had we known during your stay, we would have happily changed it for you straight away so you could feel more comfortable and not have to worry.
We do keep extra comforters in the apartment for guests who prefer a softer bed, so we are glad they helped a little during your stay. The mattress has now been changed back to the medium firmness setting.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and once again please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience.
