Symphony House is an incredibly beautiful log home with exceptional views of the Hickory Nut Gorge & Chimney Rock State Park in the heart of Lake Lure. It offers an open floor plan with soaring vaulted ceilings, a stone gas fireplace for cooler seasons, Brazilian tiger hardwood floors, a massive granite kitchen island with seating for gathering, and custom cherry cabinets. The spacious master suite on the main level has a slate shower, two vanities, and a large walk-in closet. Sliding glass doors lead to the back deck, where you can grill and enjoy the view under the covered portion, which is perfect for entertaining. The lower features two oversized bedrooms, each with a full bathroom. Large recreation room with a pool table that leads to the concrete patio with even more room to enjoy the outdoors.

Whether you enjoy campfires with s’mores and an acoustic guitar, camping beneath the stars, packing a picnic lunch for the trail, or adventuring into town to see the sights, you will find that the sky’s the limit for your next getaway to remember!

Great house!

The location of this house was about perfect - it's remote enough that you feel as if you're staying on a mountain by yourself, but it's close enough to town that you can easily get to a restaurant in 5-10 minutes. The house was clean and has a rustic feel with log cabin and western decor. Views of the surrounding mountains are stunning even in winter, and the dark skies provided excellent stargazing opportunities at night. The kitchen is large and well stocked with basic cookware, dishes, and utensils, and the two dining areas (one inside and one outside under a roof on the large back deck) offer plenty of space for eating, playing games, or putting together a puzzle. The upstairs bedroom is great if you or someone you're traveling with has mobility issues, and the downstairs bedrooms are spacious and each have their own bathroom. The beds were firm but comfortable and had clean and soft linens. The pool table downstairs is smaller than standard, but it was still fun to play with and is a great focal point of the downstairs common area (which has a love seat, dorm-sized refrigerator for drinks, and a high-top table and chairs). We had a small issue upon arrival that was quickly handled by Carolina Properties even though it was after normal business hours. The only downside is the super steep driveway that required us to put our front-wheel drive vehicle in low to get up (and we still spun the tires several times!), so having an all-wheel drive vehicle would be nice.
