About this property

This spacious, stunning and central one bedroom apartment boasts gorgeous high ceilings, loads of sunlight, excellent water pressure and unlimited ultra fast fibre internet.
Guests will enjoy staying right on Courtenay Place, amongst all the shopping, restaurants and bars that Wellington has to offer. Perfect for exploring Wellington on foot.
Two fold-out sofas, plus a Queen bed, make it easy to accommodate up to 6 people.
Check out the "getting around" section at the bottom of this description for parking tips.
The space:
High ceilings, immaculate presentation and dead central. With a large open floor plan, this apartment is incredibly spacious for a one-bedroom.
Strong concrete walls and double glazing keep the apartment ;safe, warm and surprisingly quiet. (Be sure to close both layers of windows for a quiet apartment, and to save electricity when running the heater)
Please check out the "Getting Around" section at the bottom of this description for parking solutions if you're coming with a car. I've provided a few tips for parking in town.
Guest access:
Guests can use everything in the apartment - kitchen with dishwasher, oven, stove, refrigerator...lounge suite including sofa beds, unlimited wi-fi, closet space and the balcony.
There's a washing machine and drying racks, iron, ironing board and hair dryer.
If you need anything in particular to make your stay enjoyable, please don't hesitate to ask.
Other things to note:
Please give 24hrs notice for requesting early check in and late check out, as we may need to reorganise the cleaners when I am out of town.
I've recently bought this apartment and it's my first home. I travel a fair bit, and I'm happy to be able to share this amazing apartment with others. I welcome you to treat it like your home away from home, and kindly ask that you respect it just the same.
Neighbourhood Description:
You only have to walk downstairs to get to the best bars and restaurants that Wellington has to offer. Cinemas are nearby, the St James Theatre is just across the street, and the Opera House not far away. You're very close walking distance from the Waterfront, Te Papa Museum, Cuba Street and Oriental Bay.
There are three grocery stores within a five minute walk.
Let me know if you want some advice about what to see, eat and drink in this fabulous little city.
Getting Around:
Public Transit stops right out front of the building and takes you anywhere- including the airport. A taxi from the airport is generally $50. Uber is usually less than $30. The Airport Flyer bus picks up just out front of the airport doors and takes you to the St James Theatre, just across the street from the apartment, for about $10 per person.
There are several paid parking garages within a few minutes walk, and I've got some tips and tricks about parking for free & cheap.
My best advice is to park on or near Marjoribanks Street in the "Coupon Parking" zone. It's free on weekends and overnight, and on weekdays it's $18/day. You can buy a "coupon" from any convenience store (aka "dairy") in Wellington. You'll need a coupon if you park for more than 2hrs between 8am and 6pm on weekdays.
The garage at 72 Tory Street is one block away and costs about $25+/day on weekdays and $12+/day on weekends, and $6 overnight (6pm-6am).
Metered parking right out front is $5/hr on weekdays, 2hr max; and free overnight (no max time overnight). Be sure to check the signs to be sure the rules haven't changed.

About the host
Hosted by Kelley

Hello! I'm Kelley. I'm originally from California, and have been living in New Zealand for over 11 years. I love exploring New Zealand, including all its amazing nature, meeting new people, and sharing my spaces with people to treat as their home away from home.
Why they chose this property
Central Wellington is vibrant, fun, and full of great shops, cafes and restaurants. I love walking around Courtenay Place, Cuba Street, and Lambton Quay, to the top of Mount Victoria, the Waterfront, and the Botanical Gardens. Nothing beats Wellington on a fine day!
What makes this property unique
Smack dab in the middle of Wellington, inside a building with sturdy walls and double glazing to help minimise the noise of the hustle and bustle right on its doorstep. Really spacious inside, you'll immediately feel right at home.
