The development is beautiful, quiet and a short walk to town. The parking is adequate. The grounds well manicured. Our friends and we are two long married couples in our senior years. The accommodations at this particular site need a few upgrades to get a higher rating especially for seniors.
The unit was listed as “sleeps four”. However, the second bedroom had a bunkbed with a twin on top and a full on bottom. It was against a wall. The mattress was thin and uncomfortable. Such an arrangement made it very difficult for a senior couple. One person had to climb over the other. There was a roll away bed in the closet but setup took all the space needed
The cleaning staff had not done a thorough job. The eating areas were not as clean as needed. The “rugs” on the kitchen floor were tripping hazards and we had to take them up while we were there.
The living room area needs some better furniture. It included a tv with cable and streaming.
Although, there was a roll of TP on each roller, it was half and we had too purchase our own. We also had to buy paper towels, tissues.
The unit was designed to accommodate a family with young children. The owner provided bikes, pool and beach chairs, sufficient beach towels for four and a beautiful porch for sunning. There was a BBQ grill and an outdoor fireplace stove.
I would recommend this particular unit to a family. I would not refer couples over 60 to go together.
We all agreed Ogunquit was beautiful!!!

From the owner:Thank you for your review and for choosing our property for your stay in Ogunquit. We’re pleased that you enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the convenient location. We would like to take the opportunity to address the concerns you raised:-Prior to your visit, we had a detailed conversation about the sleeping arrangements and other aspects of the property, which you mentioned were suitable for your group. The second bedroom, as listed and shown in the photos, includes a bunk bed with a full-size mattress on the bottom and a twin on top, along with a rollaway bed for additional flexibility. We regret that these arrangements did not meet your expectations, though they were clearly outlined and agreed upon beforehand.-Regarding the cleanliness, I personally inspected the property before your arrival and found everything to be in order. I’m sorry if you found the cleanliness lacking and wish you had contacted me during your stay so that we could have addressed any concerns immediately.-As for the paper goods, the unit was stocked according to the standard practice for vacation rentals, with ample supplies to get started. We provide these essentials to ensure our guests have what they need upon arrival, though additional supplies may be necessary for longer stays. We believe our property offers a comfortable and welcoming environment for all guests, and we strive to maintain high standards in all aspects of the experience. It’s unfortunate that some aspects of the stay were not to your satisfaction, but we appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue to improve.

If cleanliness is important to you, DON'T stay here!
The location of this condo is great and it's cutely decorated, with comfortable beds and a big couch. The neighborhood pool is a nice bonus. However, we were disgusted by the lack of cleanliness we found upon arrival. The bathmats were filthy and full of hair - when we laundered them, they looked like completely different mats! The master tub was dirty. The floors had lots of dust, dead bugs, and hair. The range hood was caked with grime and dead bugs. The top of the dresser in the master bedroom was covered in dust. The floor behind the toilet in the master bathroom was covered in body hair. I could go on, but you get the idea. When we washed the gross bathmats, we discovered that the dryer lint trap had obviously not been emptied in a long time. When we complained about this to Evolve, the management company for the property, responses were very cold, took forever, and contained no actual apology. They gave us a tiny, insulting refund. Each bathroom had one roll of toilet paper, with no extra provided. When we asked the property manager for more TP, we were told that the one roll was all we get (for our 10-day stay!). So, we had to go buy more. Overall, we were completely turned off by how dirty the condo was and the lack of support from Evolve and the manager. We had to clean just to be able to stomach staying there. If cleanliness and enough TP are important to you, I'd recommend finding someplace else to stay - the options in Ogunquit are plentiful!

Hi Amy, we want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our properties seriously. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:-The unit was inspected before your arrival, and we did not observe the cleanliness issues you mentioned. However, we will work closely with our cleaning team to ensure the property is thoroughly cleaned and meets high standards before each guest's stay. During our conversations you never mentioned a cleanliness issue, had you we would have addressed any concerns quickly for a most comfortable stay.-While we provided two mega rolls of toilet paper to get you started, we understand this might not have been sufficient for your 10-day stay. As is standard for vacation rentals, we provide a starter supply of paper essentials for guests’ convenience. Guests may have to purchase their own additional supplies, especially for longer stays or larger groups.-We did our best to accommodate your requests during your stay, including providing a beach umbrella as a courtesy. We always work with both guests and homeowners when issues arise and apologize that we were unable to come to the resolution you were hoping for based on the documentation provided. We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
