Welcome to heaven! Our cottage sits on a private beach on Skipper's Bay at the end of a private road. While the rest of York is booming with activity, you can relax and even swim in the private bay. We invite you to spend some quality time in our "other" home away from home. The town of York is a lovely and inviting place to relax and take a deep breath. Experience a New England beach town at its finest. Enjoy local cuisine, visit Nubble Lighthouse, travel Route 1 South to Portsmouth or Kittery, head north to Wells and Ogunquit or just stay put and enjoy the local attractions such as The Goldenrod, York's Wild Kingdom amusement park and zoo, Short, Sands and Long sands as well as lots of souvenir shops. We hope you love it here as much as we do!
*Important - for now, we require vacationers take their own trash and recyclables home with them.
Our Maine Attraction offers privacy, peace and quiet, the conveniences of home, and the most awesome views you've ever seen!
Our Maine Attraction has three bedrooms. One has two twin beds, one has a double bed, and one has a queen size bed. We supply the pillows and blankets. There is a full kitchen with dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, and pots and pans. There is also a fireplace (no fires please), an outdoor shower (April through October), a gas grill, a washer and dryer in the basement, WiFi, cable TV, a large ocean front deck, and four red Adirondack chairs by the ocean.
There are two public beaches close by. Short Sands Beach, walking distance from the house, is located in town. Long Sands Beach is less than a five minute ride.
The York Beach area provides many restaurants of all kinds as well as Hannaford's Market on Route 1 south.
The Kittery Shopping Outlets are just twenty minutes away.
There are several golf courses close by.
York Beach has an amusement park, as well as a zoo. Both are open seasonally.
