COYOTE CREEK RETREAT: Semi-Rural, Monument Views, Stargazing, Spa, Vintage LPs.

Cozy and peaceful with stunning views. This retreat is great for couples, new families, solo adventurers, artist, photographers,and business travelers. The outdoor shower and the vintage records are very popular. This 2.5 acre retreat is situated high above the valley with expansive mountain views in all directions. Close to the Park and town services, yet feels secluded. Wildlife abounds on the property - lots of bunnies, squirrels and birds. Wildlife corridors from the Park brings amazing visitors (bobcat, coyote, roadrunners etc..). Our cozy 1 bedroom home is a former homestead cabin which has been added onto over the years. It is 3 miles from the Joshua Tree National Park entrance (now designated an International Dark Sky Park)! You'll love the quiet outdoor space and night-time stargazing. Enjoy a large covered patio with a wood burning (firewood provided) outdoor screened fire pit and beautiful views to the North and East. In back is an outdoor shower, jacuzzi and views of the hills to the South and the western skies. Sunsets can be amazing all year round.

Excellent views outdoors from every room. We have a fully equipped kitchen, dining room with seating for 8, living room which has stereo system (with Bluetooth, turntable w/vintage vinyl and Smart HD TV Blu-Ray/DVD player), queen bed in the bedroom, full bath, half bath in garage, new queen (memory foam) sleeper sofa, queen air mattress (Beauty Rest - comfort level 10) fits in living room, a couch and loveseat. Sleeping 6 will be tight quarters.
Kickback, unplug, and start slowing down to enjoy this superior high desert experience!

Guests have total access to the property, including the garage, jacuzzi gas BBQ and washer and dryer.

The Coyote Creek Retreat was perfect! Secluded and quiet, except for the sounds of nature. BBQ’d and soaked in the hot tub under the stars. The perfect getaway. So close to the park entrance too.

Comfortable and quiet, this home is ideally situated for easy access to Joshua Tree NP. We found it well stocked with all the essentials, as well as some real "bonuses" like the extensive vinyl collection that took us on a few walks down Memory Lane! We especially enjoyed stargazing from the hot tub after a day of hiking, and hearing the occasional coyote chorus at night. We appreciated Roy & Pam's timely and thorough communication and easy check-in/out.

From the beginning of booking this retreat, I received numerous messages from the hosts to insure a successful rental and pleasant stay. The kitchen set-up made cooking a breeze, comfortable furniture invited relaxation, and the overall property setting welcomed meditation and return to nature. Excellent location near the Joshua Tree Park entrance as well as the Nancy Karl trail minutes away and the hikes near Black Rock are also close.

Roy & Pam have covered all the bases and some! Coyote Creek is charming, comfortable, perfectly located for exploring Joshua Tree Park then venturing out to shop, dine or play. Don't skip The Joshua Tree Tavern - great food and fun staff! The hot tub and DARK night sky were the perfect ending to every day. We even found a jar of hummingbird nectar and some bird food to fill the feeder and enjoyed songbirds, squirrels and chipmunks with morning coffee. Lawn chairs, yard games...the list goes on. Roy & Pam are very responsive to any questions, so helpful! Highly recommend!!

The Great Escape

Pam and I grew up in LA and San Diego. We both like to garden at our home in San Diego. We have 70+ varieties of edible plants growing. We've been coming to J-Tree since the 70's - climbing and hiking with family and friends.

We looked for years to find a vacation place. We knew instantly this place was special, 2.5 acres, terrific views and room for family and friends.
The only noise you hear is from the wildlife coming thru the property.

What makes this property unique

You'll never feel cramped on the extra large covered porch with amazing mountain views.
Being high on the hills above the town and 3 miles from the Park makes the location extra special.
