Great location!

The house is in a fantastic location, just a five-minute walk to the beach, with plenty of shops and attractions nearby and a convenience store less than a block away. The house itself was clean and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen that made meal prep a breeze. The upstairs space and balconies were perfect for spending quality time with family, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The fenced backyard was a wonderful bonus for the dogs.One area for potential improvement is the beds. Updating the mattresses and enhancing the quality of the bedding could make the stay even more comfortable. Overall, it’s a lovely home in an unbeatable location!

Southern Comfort was a comfort

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at the Southern Comfort was excellent. The location was across the street from the beach but walk was very short and the beach access was very nice. A market was right down the street within walking distance, everything was so convenient.The location of the property was great. The home was spotless when we arrived. I had no complaints at all. Everything was up to date and well maintained. The house was very roomy.This is one of the best homes I have stayed in on vacation. The staff at Beach Reality was also very good to deal with. They were very helpful when making my reservation answering all my questions. I will definitely rent from them again. My only concern was the two storm doors needed alittle adjustment, kinda hard to get latched, otherwise this was an excellent rental which also made our vacation excellent.

Great house with a few issues

First the good stuff: Overall, this is a great house in a great location. There was a lot of room for our family to spread out and the hot tub is awesome! The entrance to the beach is just right across the street. This wasn’t in the listing, but the house has 4 beach chairs and 2 additional camp chairs. There is also cornhole and beach toys. The not so good stuff: Everything looked pretty clean when we checked in, however, when we were ready for bed we noticed that both pillowcases on the king bed were covered with hair. Not sure if these weren’t changed from the previous guest or how that happened. I had texted the realty that evening asking if they could bring over new pillowcases the next day and extra ones too for the extra pillows provided. They did text me back the next day apologizing and said they’d have housekeeping bring over a new set. They didn’t come that day or the next day so I texted them again and they apologized and said they’d have housekeeping bring them over. Housekeeping never ended up bringing them at all that week so that was disappointing. There were also a few minor maintenance issues that were addressed the next day but one of the issues had an underlying bigger HVAC problem resulting in a technician being there for half the day in the house fixing it. Hopefully, future guests won’t have to deal with that! Overall, I’d stay there again but would bring my own pillowcases!

Mattresses were horrible! However, the house was great!

I truly hate leaving bad reviews without giving the owner a chance to reconcile, however I feel it’s my duty to provide this information for others because it was a deal breaker for me. The mattresses at the house, at least the main bedroom with the King, must be replaced! I’m in my mid 40’s and have never had any orthopedic problems until I slept in this bed. slept… sunk into this bed. And the worst part was, there was no place else to go other than the floor. The couches are in no way capable of providing a place of rest( you will sink in those as well). My husband was about 6 inches higher than me on the right side of the bed. It was so bad that I begged my family to leave a day early because I just couldn’t take it anymore. If it wasn’t for that, it would have been great! The house is in a perfect location. The view unfortunately is of the holiday inn but we didn’t mind. We have 16 year old twin girls that were able to walk to the sandwich shop, gift shop and ice cream. The house was well laid out for a family of 4 and 2 guests. There are two bedrooms connected by a full bathroom on both sides of the 1st floor. Great TV’s with Roku connections. The bedrooms all had ample storage space for belongings. The front outside decks on the 1st and 2nd floor were awesome. Both levels have gates, for safety of small children and pets. Lots of indoor table and chair space and great fenced yard for pets. I would rent again if the beds were replaced! My kids even complained
