Great location for us. Apartment was perfect. There is quite the road noise when in the bedroom so that might bother some. Kitchen was well equipped. Love the gas stove. Susana is a wonderful host! We had a perfect stay at her comfortable suite. Close to the skytrain to get around Vancouver. Though the area itself is fun to explore. We walked to Trout Lake each morning and then explored 'The Drive' with all its unique shops and multitude of dining experiences. Recommend The Lunch Lady, Chancho Torilleria, and Elephant Garden Creamery. Also, see if you can find the East Van Vodville Cinema:)Will definitely recommend Susana's home to others and come back some day!

Is a beautiful clean unit, the reason for the four rate was the bedroom traffic noise, was persistent and continuous.

This is a very spacious apartment with an excellent, professional-grade kitchen. The host is highly responsive. The bedroom faces a busy road but the sound of passing cars did not disturb our sleep. Light sleepers might want to use earplugs.

Being right on vibrant Commercial Drive means there can be some activity during the day and earlier in the evening, though it does quiet down nicely overnight. For guests who prefer a little background sound, a sleep sound machine is provided in the bedroom, which many find makes for a very restful night.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our host was amazing, welcoming and generous. The unit is so spacious, each room was very comfortable, and so well decorated. All the comforts of home!

I would give this place100 stars if I could. Super comfortable bed, excellent shower, well provisioned kitchen, full-sized washer and dryer, convenient to Translink trains and buses and a supermarket. Also lots of space and tastefully decorated. AND a friendly, helpful, but not intrusive property owner on site. (Thank you Susana.) It just doesn’t get any better than this!

I really enjoy being a host and offering guests a beautiful space to stay in while visiting our diverse city and landscape. I'm a professional Interior Designer so for me, evoking emotion and creating experiences through the built environment are one of the things I'm super passionate about. Being able to extend that sentiment through my home, to my guests, is really special for me.

I always like leave a few special touches like accent lighting prior to arrival, a bottle of wine, snacks, and fresh cut flowers whenever possible :)

A culturally rich and authentic neighborhood, Commercial Drive - also known as The Drive - is one of the best and most colourful shopping, dining and nightlife districts you will find in the city; and boasts home to Vancouver’s own 8 block officially designated Little Italy, representing more than 60 years of Italian heritage. Day or evening, The Drive offers 22 full blocks to explore with over 300 distinct merchants, including quaint boutiques, an eclectic collection of restaurants, a vibrant live music and bar scene, dinner and dancing, theatres, coffee houses, specialty food stores and bakeries. Trout Lake in all its beauty is a mere 10 minute walk from this location; a true oasis in the city. It also hosts a Farmers Market every Saturday from April 1st - October 28. Location is very central to DT and all that Vancouver has to offer. A one of a kind experience. Welcome to The Drive!

Free parking on the premises which is accessed from the back lane. 2 blocks from Commercial-Broadway Skytrain Station. Uber pick-up is available directly from the back lane making it very convenient.
The neighborhood boasts a walk score of 89 and transit score of 93 which means you can leave your vehicle parked if you don't want to drive; nearly everything you want to do is walkable and public transportation is a riders paradise.
