We really enjoyed the location of this home and the host communicated very well. It was so nice to be very close to the beach, especially with the kids! The home could use a deep clean and some decor updates - the shower curtains are a bit cheap, the tv in the kids room doesn't work, some touch up paint, the back deck could be stained - but it was overall a very nice stay and we enjoyed our first visit to Dauphin Island. Thank you!

Goin’ Coastal is a lovely little second row house. The view of the ocean and the beach is outstanding, and the back deck is perfect for those of us who are past our prime, but still love an occasional beach week. We had sunny weather the majority of the week, but several days were very hot, because there was no ocean breeze at all. I don’t know if that is an anomaly on Dauphin Island, or not, but it does make the day less comfortable. The house was fine, but I would suggest new cookware and a vacuum. Also, the sand on the right side of the driveway near the house is too deep for a small car. My grandsons had to pull my Acura out at checkout. Just be careful where you park.

It is uncommon for Dauphin Island to go several days without its usual coastal breeze. We're glad you were still able to enjoy your beach vacation despite the unusually calm and warm conditions. Thank you for mentioning the sand near the driveway as well. Guests should remain within the designated parking area, but if anyone does become stuck in the sand, our local maintenance team is always happy to assist. Thank you again for staying with us.
