My husband, two grandsons and I had a lovely time at this cabin in the woods. Great place to stay while visiting sites in Olympic National Forest. The setting of this rental is beautiful and serene. The owners were great getting back to us, answering any questions we had before our arrival.
This cabin was the perfect, private getaway. Beautiful and peaceful. Our teens loves fishing and hanging out by the fire. We were even more impressed with the cabin than we thought we would be. Very spacious with all the amenities of home.
This is our second stay at this property and it did not disappoint! Such a beautiful and peaceful place to get away! We enjoyed long summer nights by the fire pit and the sound of the river going by. Todd was helpful and responsive as our host. Highly recommend!
The property speaks for its self! We did not see large wild life but we heard them at night! The boys loved fishing in the river any moment we were there. My oldest caught his first steel head on his new custom fly rod it was his dream! So glad for grandpa Dan and his spot thank you for sharing!
We came for a family vacation and stood here for a couple of days. My family wished that we had nore time here, because this home is amazing. The views are indescribable. We had a chance to see a bald eagle soar right above the river . Definitel. We will definitely be back ,spend as much time here as you can
We loved the peaceful, secluded location near the river. The kids enjoyed fishing and exploring the river. It was a perfect spot for a campfire. It was a great place to stay to go and explore the beaches and rain forests in the area.
Our family stayed in Todd and Danielle's cabin during our visit to Olympic NP. It had everything we needed and was easy to get to the various areas of the park. Our boys loved exploring the river behind the cabin. Todd was very helpful and communicative during our stay!
It was our second year in a row staying here in mid-January and we had even more fun this time than we did last time! It's cozy, well-stocked, and at a really beautiful location that's private and secluded away from busy streets and neighbors, so it was great for our dogs. All of us felt so calm, relaxed, and restored staying out here. This place definitely has some magic to it.
We will definitely be back again!
I loved my stay at this very private and scenic cabin!
Would love to go back in the summer for the river fun.
One bath room sharing so preferred with family only or very close friends.
Amazingly had a lot of things then I expected. Kitchen equipment, towels, woods, coffee, etc.
The river was beautiful and clear, easy to watch from inside or out on the deck and yard area. There is a large tree swing that was a favorite for my kids. They were able to wade in the river and looks for fish and birds. Inside was cozy and great for family time. It was private and quiet.
We pulled the trigger on a last minute trip to the OP for winter steelhead and were lucky enough to score this little slice of heaven. Excellent cabin right on good fish water. My only regret is that we fished so hard that we didn't have time to enjoy a cocktail campfire by the river at the end of a day of hard fishing. We'll do that next time for sure.
Great stay here - would definitely stay again. The cabin is as advertised - it is a fishing cabin - so no frills, but honestly - one of the favorite places we have stayed! Todd was so responsive and made the check-in process seamless! He kindly answered our questions about best ferry/travel route. Kitchen was well appointed - however no dishwasher if that is important to you. He did mention they are having a drought so he was concerned about water pressure - but it was fine for us. The mattress in the main bedroom is soft - not our favorite as we prefer a firm mattress, but it was totally fine for 3 nights. Kids ADORED the yard and river - bunkbeds were great. As a heads up - the bathroom doors open right into both bedrooms so might be a bit awkward with different families staying. Internet was as described, pretty spotty - but again - was nice to be less connected for a few days. We explored the national park - house was an ideal location to explore both sides of the park. We would highly recommend staying at this cabin if you are in the area - it was wonderful!
Enchanting forested land perfect for exploring and river views all around! Cozy family fishing cabin that felt homey and relaxed. Fishing just feet from the cabin. Disconnected from the usual city life and reconnected as a family! Would 100% book again!
Great cabin in the woods! Being on the river was extra special. Having the bonfire pit to sit next to every evening after a day of hiking was the best!
The cabin is situated on an absolutely beautiful property. It sits very close to the Solduc River. Gorgeous scenery, lots of wildlife. Not too far from Forks - about 20 minutes and about 1.5 hours to Cape Flattery. The cabin is an old cabin but has all of the needed appliances (fridge, w/d, stove, etc.) It does not have air conditioning but it seems to stay cool enough (outdoor temp was in the 80s when we stayed there). The only complaint i have is that it wasnt very clean. The high touch surfaces like kitchen countertops, bathroom tub and sink were clean. However, areas like behind the toilet, walls, bathroom fan, etc. could use a good scrubbing. And, think twice about stayng here if you have a fear of spiders lol. We rescued a few and put them outisde but there are many spiders and spider webs in this cabin. Communication with the owners was very pleasant and they responded quickly to texts. Be aware there is no cell service or internet provided either as stated in the property information. This was a bigger inconvenience than i thought as there was no way to check out area attractions and make plans for the next day. The closest cell service was back on the highway at least 10-15 miles away - almost into Forks.
We had a great time at the fishing cabin. There was no service so forced off grid was perfect. We had bonfires and relaxed as a family. Perfect home base for visiting Forks, beaches and Hoh rainforest. Thank you for sharing your perfect piece of paradise
Excellent place on the river with no neighbors! Communication with owner was excellent. Accommodations were great. Lots of wild life. Great location to see the Olympic National Park.
We used this cabin as a base for visiting Olympic National Park’s rainforests and beaches. It served that purpose very well, coming back to this peaceful, secluded place heightened the whole experience. It was clean, well stocked with necessities, and charming. The owner was attentive and clear in our communications. We enjoyed our time at this cabin and would absolutely stay again.
This place deserves more stars than this app allows.
Perfect location to get anywhere with ease during an adventure through Olympic National Park. Great spot to relax. The cabin itself also has much to explore and, like something out of a story book, has a family history to uncover that will make you love the place. We will never forget this place and the wonderful owners who provide such a heaven.
6 out of 5 stars.
The cabin was one of the most peaceful places that we have ever spent time. We saw an abundance of wildlife and no people our entire stay. Would recommend to anyone needing to truly get away and relax. It would also be a great place to bring the family and reconnect.
Our stay at this cabin was the perfect start to our spring break vacation! The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the cabin's location provided a great staging ground for excursions to Forks, Rialto Beach, and the Hoh Rain Forest. The cabin itself was cozy and outfitted with everything we needed. The hosts provided clear directions on how to get to the cabin and both check in and check out was very smooth. Overall it was a great experience!
We love this cozy cabin and have come three January's in a row for my husband's birthday. We saw 4 river otters and a herd of 25+ elk, and our buddy caught a steelhead. We love coming here every year to unplug, rest, and enjoy the property. The kitchen is always stocked with supplies and basic condiments to help us make delicious meals while we're there. The owners are so extremely kind and enjoyable to speak with. We hope to return many years onward.
