About this property

Family home

Relax, make yourself at home. Listen to the waves crashing on the shore. Watch the tuis chase each other around the trees or the fantails flitting about after bugs. Enjoy the vineyards and bike trails, take a short stroll to the beach and then chill on the deck. Just 20 mins drive from Napier and 15 mins from Havelock North and Hastings. We have a very friendly cat, Revvy, who will come for a cuddle if you're very lucky. He comes with the property and guests are required to ensure he has access to the catflap and to keep his food bowl topped up with water.

The space
Entranceway with cavity slider door, a great room for dogs to sleep. Open plan living room, kitchen and dining room. There is a log burner in the lounge and firewood will be provided in the winter months. A wall heater heats the second bedroom and there is a heater stored in the laundry. There is a fan in the main bedroom and a free-standing fan is available for the second bedroom. Brightly-tiled bathroom with shower and large bath, enjoy heated tiles in the cooler months. The main bedroom has a King size bed with built in wardrobe and space down one side for a portacot. The second bedroom has a single bed with a trundle which will be rolled out and set up. There is plenty of hanging space and shelves. A large deck looks over the back garden and there is a BBQ which you are welcome to use. The washing machine is in the sleepout. The bed in the sleepout is not available for guests at the moment.

Other things to note
Please do not allow children to go in the woodshed behind the garage, it is not safe for exploring.

Lovely property and wonderful hostess!

We have truly enjoyed our stay at this lovely property! The house is perfectly clean, very cosy and comfortable and had everything we needed. The large fenced yard was perfect for our dog and we loved having meals outside surrounded by beautiful garden. Thank you very much Ginni for your warm hospitality and perfect communication, we are looking forward to coming again in the future!

Lovely property in a great location

This was a great place for our short getaway, very tidy, comfortable and peaceful with everything we needed. It's a fenced property with a lovely garden and outdoor dining so was a perfect spot for us and our small dog both to relax, and as a base to explore more widely. Te Awanga beach is (of course) just a short walk away, Haumoana just down the road, and the Napier waterfront and CBD are only about 20 minutes away by car. So the property itself is great, and the location is also really handy. Our dog didn't notice but there was also a swing and in the garden and a small trampoline on the deck - which could be very handy for those with young kids.

Yes good communications with the host (especially the extra comms during our visit to tell us about a Karaka tree on the property which might be harmful for dogs).The house was as listed, beds comfortable and very clean and tidy. Well equipped too.Was surprised by request to mind and feed the host's cat during our stay as this seemed to place some unexpected responsibility on me as a paying guest to be looking after the host's pet (esp as our dog gets anxious around cats). Didn't end up being a problem with the entrance area able to be closed off from rest of house so cat could enter and only be fed in that space.
