Our family enjoyed staying at the farmhouse. It was very clean and quaint. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for a large family.
Really enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse! It was perfect for our family to stay close to Milford. Loved seeing all of the deer in the mornings grazing in the back pasture.
Absolutely Great location & very nice owners two thumbs up.

Amazing farmhouse stay!
This was an absolutely wonderful stay. The beds were very comfortable and was a wonderful accommodation for our five person group. Everyone had their own bed to sleep in. The host was also extremely responsive and helpful with any questions we had before and after our stay. We stayed there for a wedding we attended in Milford, PA, and it was an easy 25 minute drive to the venue.
Used the home to sleep at during a family reunion down the road. It was clean and comfortable. We were very happy. We wish the room with the daybed had blinds but aside from that it was wonderful and will look stay here again.
We stayed for a weekend with family, the farmhouse was in excellent condition, clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is beautiful, with some corn, sunflowers and pumpkin fields on the back and some cows with their calf’s pasturing nearby. We had a lovely time and would love to go back some time.

Peaceful Farm Retreat Near Forest Trails & Waterfalls
If you’re looking for a quiet escape from the city, this historic farmhouse in Layton is a dream. Surrounded by a working farm and forest, the setting is peaceful and refreshing, with the New Jersey game lands and Delaware Water Gap right outside your door. The house is spacious, beautifully restored, and thoughtfully stocked — from the cozy country kitchen (perfect for cooking fresh food) to the comfortable bedrooms. Mornings on the front porch rocking chairs were pure bliss, and evenings on the deck felt like dining in nature. We spent our days hiking through the forest trails, exploring Buttermilk Falls, and canoeing on the Delaware River. The fresh air, quiet surroundings, and open landscapes made this the perfect reset from city life.An absolute gem for anyone craving nature, comfort, and a touch of history. We’ll definitely be back!
Everything about the house was amazing, from the multiple bathrooms, the bed room layout, the spacious kitchen/dining area, the location and the beautiful farm setting. We spent our days in the area exploring Stokes State Forest and the Delaware Water Gap property. We dined at two great local eateries, The Layton inn which was a great every day bar with good food and The Walpak Inn for a delicious Saturday night steak dinner while watching the deer feed just on the other side of the window. Relaxing at the house in the evenings we were able to view the sun set on the beautiful landscape of the fields and mountains, the charming living room was also great to sit in and relax after a day spent out doors. The very comfortable beds made for a great nights sleep, we can’t wait to come back and enjoy more time here.
