Rememberance - Oregon Beach Vacations

Rememberance - A Cottage At The Cove is a fairy-tale Honeymoon cottage that will tug at your hearts to return year after year. This 1930's fishing cottage has been fully renovated to a luscious suite specifically designed for a couple to relax enjoy themselves and life. This studio-type home allows you to enjoy the openness of the great room which enhances the cozy and romantic feeling of the cottage. Absorb the peaceful view sounds of the surf and enchanting ocean-air from the deck. Lavish in the warmth of the Jacuzzi tub for two or comforting rain-shower. Dine at area restaurants or prepare your romantic meal in the thoughtfully equipped kitchen. Stroll through the area shops and galleries visit the World's Smallest Harbor and enjoy the natural Spouting Horn from atop the seawall which Depoe Bay is well known for. Remembrance is located on a cliff directly on the cove where you can watch the whales as they play on the rocks of the cove. As there is no fence, please watch your step while looking over the edge. During storms the water creates foam balls in the cove and shoots them at our cottage. Remembrance is only blocks to all the shops and restaurants in Depoe Bay.

Beautiful!

This was an absolutely beautiful location, the views were completely breathtaking. The food at the local restaurant was amazing, and the local beaches were so fun to explore. We had a great time walking and driving around, and just hanging out around the rental! We'd love to stay here again in the future.

Adorable Cottage with Unique View!

We loved our stay at the cottage. The view was very unique, as it overlooks a gorgeous cliff with a massive cave. You can't beat the sound of the waves crashing against the cliff at sunset. We would definitely recommend that folks who stay here are very comfortable with each other, as the cottage is small and there is no door or separate room to the shower. A perfect couples getaway.

Charming cottage and perfect location

This cottage was everything it represented online. It’s an absolutely charming and comfy cottage, perfect for two. My spouse and I enjoyed it as a central location for touring up and down the Oregon coast. When we returned in the evenings, we’d open up the windows to feel the cool breezes off of the bay and listen to the crashing waves. One evening I took a short walk up the hill and followed the path back to the rocks for an impressive show of the powerful waves crashing on the rocks. This sweet little cottage was the perfect respite for a long weekend.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice Cottage great location The cottage is very nice but is showing wear and tear and could do with a makeover. Negative- There is no WiFi, if staying for a quite weekend that would be OK. However we stayed a week and if I had known I would not have stayed. Bill was $1400 so $200 a night there should be WiFi

Rating Details: The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here for the Eclipse and my Birthday. We did have a very good time and although I did like the cottage, I would probably not stay there again. Some things to know before you go. #1) There is no ventilation at all. Only one window opened, the door and a tiny bathroom window. #2) The bathroom is not really separate from the rest of the house, there is no ceiling and considering #1, this can make for uncomfortable moments unless you are there alone. (We've got 26 yrs together and it was still uncomfortable to hear and smell restroom visits.) #3) They do mention leaving a "Starter Supply" of cleaning items such as dishwasher soap. They gave us four, we reserved a week. The linen supplies were also limited. There were three towels and wash cloths for two people. Again, I'm not at all sorry I stayed, it has a wonderful view, both of the hills behind town (where the eclipse took place) and of a little cove behind the cottage. It's also a very short walk to town. We spent so much more time in town than we normally do and that was great. The decor is okay, but very outdated and needs a deep clean (or a cover). The bed was actually pretty comfortable. I have back and shoulder issues and usually suffer when I travel.

Remembrance Cottage Was Enchanting

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Remembrance Cottage. It charmed us the instant we saw it listed as a vacation rental online and warmed our hearts in person. Darling curb appeal with wrap around deck & pergolas. Wonderful location perched at the cove. You can hear the sound of the waves in the cove below hitting the rocks & at low tide see the tunnel formations. This light, airy studio style cottage is just perfect for 2. We loved the high ceilings, the clean white newly renovated interior makes it feel spacious. it had all the amenities we could have asked for & then some! The jacuzzi tub was perfect with delightful star lights hanging from above to set a romantic mood. The 3-sided gas fireplace was wonderful for taking off the chill after touring & to cozy up to with a cup of coffee, cocoa or tea. It could be viewed from the tub, the bed, the dining table & the sofa area! The TV was on swivel so could also be viewed from many spots in the cottage. The kitchen seemed well stocked with pots, pans, flatware & dishes. The small dishwasher was very welcoming, because I hate to wash dishes by hand! The stacked washer and dryer was a nice touch that allowed us to dry our towels quickly after bathing. To our surprise there was a small mini bar in a cabinet, too! The comfy sofa and queen-size bed put us into dream mode. The Remembrance Cottage is close to shopping, restaurants and area attractions, but away from busy, noisy streets. We only heard one car drive by in the early morning of our 2-night, weekend stay. We highly recommend this vacation rental and plan to return ourselves.

Location was amazing - there is no longer a bench by the cliff/cave, but you can still sit and enjoy the beautiful view. Ceiling fan and top of fridge were very dirty - had to dust the fan before we could use it. Other than that the place was clean. If you are staying a long time it would be hard to find somewhere to put your food. Kitchen was well stocked - it is as described a really cute tiny house. The walk to the end of the street where you could see whales every day - made it even more incredible. Could walk to town. Great meal at Tidal Rave - and whale watching boat tour added to the fun. Would recommend to any couple. Communication did not come from VRBO but another company so be aware as it won't show up in your VRBO app, only your email.

Absolutely wonderful! One small issue though…the bed corner going into the bathroom is way too close to the fireplace. This caused 2 bruises on my leg and my husband stubbed his toe. Ouch! It’s okay, we survived. Thank you for everything! This place is serene. We loved our stay. Cute decor! :)

Nice studio. Bed a bit soft for me but I’m picky. Tub/shower is cool but open to the entire space - so make sure you know each other really well or you will by the end of your stay!
