Old square farm of the 18th in a secluded hamlet. The house is at the end of a dead-end road. Scenic. No neighbors within 200m.
The customer benefits from a flat meadow adjacent 1 / 2ha owned property used for parking and games. Our cottage is situated 3 km from Pont de Montvert where all amenities (supermarket, bakery, butcher, tobacco press, bar, pharmacy, doctor, restaurants ...).

Très jolie ferme en pleine nature. Seul petit bémol: l'absence de toilettes au rdc au niveau des pièces de vie a rendu l'autonomie de nos petits bas âge difficile. Situation idéale pour des randonnées.Prévoir de faire les courses avant d'arriver car aucun supermarché à moins de 30 min de route. Jolies vacances de pleine nature!

séjour en Lozère

Idéal pour marcheurs et randonneurs. Les chambres sont parfaites. Prévoir d'apporter ses victuailles, Le pont de Montvert n'est pas très proches et à part le boucher et le boulanger, le reste est chers; vu l'éloignement des autres commerces. les forêts alentours sont sublimes et à la saison des champignons, c'est le bonheur. Le lave -vaisselle n'est pas au top, mais tout est là pour passer un bon moment.

Beau et très calme

Belle maison cévennole située à environ 1000m d'altitude dans un superbe cadre de montagne et dans une région propice à la randonnée. Notons dans les points positifs les poëles qui fonctionnent très bien et l'eau bien chaude et en quantité suffisante pour les douches. Toutefois, nous avons regretté que le descriptif du gîte soit vraiment insuffisant. La présence de multiple escaliers très raides n'est pas mentionnée et cela ne se voit pas non plus sur les photos. De même que l'absence de toilettes au niveau des pièces de vie. Cela rend le gîte difficilement accessible pour des personnes âgées et impossible pour des personnes handicapées. Par ailleurs il n'est prévu que deux places de stationnement : c'est insuffisant pour un groupe de 12 personnes d' autant plus qu' avec la pluie, les roues des véhicules patinaient dans la terre.

Très belle bâtisse mais manque de services

La ferme est magnifique, la découverte sur place a été un véritable plaisir. La bâtisse est encore plus charmante que sur les photos. Les environs sont paisibles et dégagés, il n'y a quasiment aucun voisin et pas un bruit. Sur place, tous les équipements de l'annonce sont à disposition ainsi qu'un document avec tous les lieux de randonnée, baignade, visite culturelle à faire dans les environs. Néanmoins, au prix de la location pour une semaine, quelques points laissent à désirer selon moi. Devoir apporter les draps ET les torchons (un seul torchon sur place pour une maison pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 13 voyageurs), devoir acheter du produit et des pastilles pour le lave vaisselle (qui était sale à notre arrivée), devoir quitter les lieux entre 10h et 11h le jour du départ alors que le ménage est à la charge des voyageurs. Tous ces points nous avaient été communiqués à l'avance par les propriétaires une fois la réservation faite mais ne figurent pas sur le descriptif de l'annonce, c'est dommage. L'ajout de jeux de draps et de torchons ainsi qu'un stock de produits de base ne me semble pas être une mauvaise idée pour rendre le séjour sur place encore plus agréable. Nous avons tout de même passé une très belle semaine dans cette somptueuse ferme dont nous garderons un souvenir positif.

Stunning scenery in remote hamlet

I hadn't realised quite how remote this property was and we had to drive around 2 hours to get anywhere due to the narrow mountain roads. The village itself is only a short drive but again you definitely need a car if you want to buy a decent amount of shopping. There are a few places to eat in the village which were good, there is a butchers and bakers too and the general store stock essentials but for a larger shop we drove to the Carrefour in Florac which is about 30m minutes away. I also wouldn't recommend this property for elderly guests or very young children as there are a lot of steep steps around the house. The house is well-equipped with everything you need (unfortunately the DVD player didn't work which was disappointing as it would have been a good way to entertain the young children in our group) although I felt the kitchen needed cleaning on arrival as the shelves of cupboards were dirty and the utensils drawer and the light fittings. However, it is a very old farmhouse and it's never going to be clean like a modern house so don't expect it to be. There were birds nesting in the roof of the barn while we were there. Also, the drains in the showers tended to get smelly so we had to regularly clean them out. There was always plenty of hot water which was great as we were a big party of 8 adults and 2 children. There is a large amount of space in the meadows opposite which my dog really enjoyed, where we spent nights star gazing which was definitely one of the highlights of our time there. The sky is so unpolluted you can see everything so clearly. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty that we really enjoyed, especially swimming in the river Tarn which is so clean and refreshing.

Lozere

The Cevenne National park is a stunning place to visit with fantastic walking in the mountains and forests. I booked Lozere because it was described as an isolated property with the closest neighbours at 200m. This proved not to be the case There was a new house being built with builders working most weekdays at 60m, a working busy farm building with large tractors and machinery to the rear of the house and nearly every day young children, dogs and adults past around the perimeter of the garden to access their vegetable plot. The flat field to the front of the property was not avaliable for our use. Some elecrical fitting were broken or difficult to use, and the Gité was generally dirty. Also some plates bowls and glass wear were chipped or cracked. Our stay which we booked for 4 weeks, in this special environment was spoilt by the noise disturbance of people, dogs, builders construction, and farm working spoilt our time at L'Hermit and we cut our stay there short, and returned to the UK earlier than planned, with additional cost of our euro tunnel crossing.

Notre but etait de randonner dans la région en groupe. Les installations nous ont donné satisfaction (équipement cuisine et sanitaires) Deux des chambres sont très petites : grange et porcherie. La cuisine rustique est sombre heureusement nous avons pu manger dehors. Le point fort est l'authenticité des lieux.

Un havre de paix

Avides de nature et de calme, cette location est faite pour vous. La maison se trouve en effet dans un hameau isolé (à 10mn en voiture de Pont de Montvert) et est elle-même isolée des autres maisons (pas de vis-à-vis), donc la tranquillité est assurée. Le chemin qui dessert l'entrée de la propriété mène à moins de 50 mètres à un point de vue rassérénant sur les collines environnantes. De superbes balades à faire dans les alentours, et, gros point positif pour les familles avec enfants en bas âge, plusieurs boucles de 1h30 très accessibles. Agréable coin de baignade à Pont de Montvert entre la sortie du village et la station service (les enfants se sont notamment régalés à sauter de rocher en rocher). Nous étions 9 à occuper la maison et avons eu tout l'espace et tout l'équipement nécessaires à notre séjour. Pour la répartition des chambres, il faut prendre en compte que la maison est en 3 parties indépendantes (dont la "porcherie" qui comporte une unique chambre sans fenêtres) et que l'escalier de la chambre haute de la maison principale est dangereux pour les enfants en bas âge. Un petit bémol pour la literie. Mais cela nous a pas empêchés de passer un merveilleux séjour dans cet endroit paisible.
