I feel like the house could have been a little bit cleaner and updated. There were dirty towels in the closet that I had to wash because they smelled like BO. Other than that the location was nice and the hot tub was enjoyable.
This place was everything we needed it to be and was as advertised. Proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway was one of the features for us. The house is small, but it was clean and comfortable and had the essentials. The neighborhood was quite. The hot tub, which is a new addition was a nice plus. Communication with the owner was very friendly and helpful.
We will stay here again if we come down this way.

It was good. Could’ve been cleaner. Needs some TLC inside and out. Enjoyed the thousands of spiders all over the inside and outside. Especially the multiple, very large orb weavers all over the porch, near the front door at night! Tub, washer, dryer, and oven need to be cleaned better. Uncomfortable and hot furniture and beds. The grass wasn’t mowed but they took care of that within a few days of being there. Went over a couple hours when checking out, but they were understanding about it. It’s in a sketchy area but no one bothered us. The neighbors were all friendly. Definitely recommend avoiding the southeast part of the city to go to and from the house!

"We always want our guests to feel comfortable and well taken care of. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- The lawn was cut during the stay as soon as the rain allowed for proper mowing.- While spiders may occasionally appear in outdoor areas, pest control measures are in place, and this has not been a recurring concern for other guests.- Feedback about the comfort of the furniture has been positive from past travelers, and the home is well cared for and clean between each stay.- The neighborhood is safe, with nearby schools, upscale homes, and other short-term rentals, and many guests enjoy the friendly community feel.We appreciate your comments and are glad you enjoyed parts of your stay, and we’ll continue working to ensure a welcoming experience for all guests."

Below average stay
Needs a refresh. Furniture appeared like from garage sales. Hot tub covered with leaves. Unswept front porch. Bugs on carpet. Pillows & bed lumpy. Phoned manager & she brought 4 new pillows & new skillet. Dishwasher broken (mgr. offered to have repairman come but we declined & washed by hand). Next door neighbors having a loud verbal altercation when we arrived. Would not return.

Hi Georgia, we’re sorry to hear that your stay didn’t meet expectations. We shared your feedback with the homeowner, and they’d like to address a few points:-The home’s furniture, including the mattresses and couches, was purchased new in April to ensure comfort and cleanliness for our guests.-While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, mattress taste is subjective, we're sorry the mattress didn't meet your preferences.-Although we do our best to keep the outdoor area clean if there are a few days between guest check-out and the next check-in, it is certainly possible for Mother Nature to have an effect on the outdoor area once our cleaning crew has left.-The dishwasher is currently being serviced, and we appreciate your understanding when you declined the repair during your stay.-We try our best to provide a great environment for guests, but sometimes external factors like the neighbor’s arguing are simply out of our control.-The manager went above and beyond to provide new pillows and a skillet during your visit to help make your stay more comfortable as we are accustomed to providing a 5-star experience to all of our guests. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
The house was just as advertised, however, the internet was out for the entirety of our stay. The house did not have satelite, cable, or antenna tv, and only offered access to streaming services. Therefore, we were completely unable to sit down and relax with some tv in the evenings. I followed up with the property manager three times about the issue, and although they were quick to respond, they provided no actual assistance with resolving the issue. I was told a couple times "they didn't know what the problem was, and the property owner was trying to get a tech from the internet company to the house". Eventually we went to the Dollar General and bought a dvd player and a few movies....Overall we had a nice time together, and the house looked just like the pictures, but the internet issue was highly inconvenient. There was also a very large and questionable stain on the shower curtain, that was hidden behind a fold when we arrived. We only noticed it after we showered and shut the curtain all the way. There were stains on other furniture, particularly a storage ottoman in one of the bedrooms. The checkout instructions weren't entirely clear, because we were told to leave dirty towels in "the basket," yet no baskets existed... we left them in a pile on the bathroom floor instead, hoping that sufficed. We enjoyed our trip, the house was the perfect size, and the location was convenient. The few things listed above would have made our stay more enjoyable. y

Hi Meghan, thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad you enjoyed the home’s size and location! The homeowner wanted to address your feedback:- The internet outage was due to snowstorms affecting the area. Updates from the provider suggested it would be resolved sooner, but unfortunately, it remained down for about 10 days. We understand this was inconvenient and appreciate your patience.- Your idea of purchasing a DVD player as a backup was a great one! This was the first time we’ve experienced a prolonged internet outage, and we’ve decided to add a DVD player to the home for future guests.- The shower curtain stain was likely from hair dye and had been previously washed, but we now realize it needed to be replaced, which we have taken care of.- The rainbow-colored storage ottoman had a stain that wouldn’t come out despite multiple cleanings, so we have removed it entirely.- We'll add a more visible laundry basket in a closet or the laundry room this week.Thank you again for your feedback—it helps improve future stays.
