Cozy lodge suite in Sylvan Lake, Ab.

My cousin and I enjoyed our birthday getaway in this cute little basement suite. It was clean and met our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub which was in the perfect spot right outside the door. I would highly recommend this place if you need rest and relaxation. Thanks again! Linda & Ruth

Cozy but in a residential neighborhood

Property was clean and cute but is a basement suite of their home. I am a little hard of hearing so our tv volume bothered owners upstairs. The neighbour hood is residential so parking is tight and no hot tub after 9:30 pm.

The neighbourhood is like any other. Most of these are in residential areas? The noise we complained about was not the TV! It was these two ladies talking so loud it’s really hard not to hear every word!! We have had more quiter and more respectful youths or young people. We wanted to sleep they were up late and talking so loud! Overall rating a three but nothing under a 4? Someone is bad at math! We let them use the hot tub later.

A little too much communication

Instructions were confusing (gate location in email was stated differently twice). Host was in hot tub when we arrived due to host's mistaken check in time. Host personally texted continually throughout stay. Prefer app communication and to be minimal. Host had a barking puppy. Not great sound proofing from upstairs.

Our sound proofing is good. These comments I are false did get booking mixed up yes. But either way we use our hot tub as we see fit. But cater to guests being in it as they arrived I see no issue with. Hope they can stay at a better place next time.

Disliked: Communication, location
The host was not very friendly or accomidating to simple requests such as having a bit more time in the hot tub. He disclosed to us that he used cameras on the doorbell to see if we were using the hot tub towels at the beach (we found this inappropriate and creepy). We are two professionals and moms who are extremely respectful and low key, who simply wanted a night away. He came downstairs in a parental way to tell us to leave the hotub at 10pm. The hot tub in the end was cloudy and smelled of dirty rag. The space is clean but outdated. We will not stay again or recommend.

These two were not very friendly and were, the fact we have a camera on the hot tub is obvious as its right by the door. Also hotels have them too and its to keep the guests safe as well as us. And we want people to be clothed not nudity. The camera is in plain sight they took our towels to the beach so we made mention of that. As we do not mention dont take our towels to the beach but thought the would understnad this.
