Sawyer Lake
We had a great stay at the A-frame on the lake. The house is very clean and comfortable. Pam was very helpful. Loved the deck for stargazing. We even saw a few meteors!
This was an amazing mini vacation. The house was clean and welcoming, the basket of goodies were delicious. The view from the deck and main area of the house was the most amazing part of the stay. Lake access beautiful with the little beach for playing and the fishing was great. Perfect space for our little family to get away and unwind.
We enjoyed our stay in this lake side cabin. It is very clean and full of amenities. The kitchen has everything you need and the living spaces are very comfortable. The view from the deck is beautiful and private. We enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and sitting on the dock. Hope to be back!

Modern comforts in rustic UP setting!
I’m so glad we found this cabin on Sawyer Lake for our summer vacation. We could have stayed for weeks, with all the comforts of home in this beautiful UP setting. The floor plan would accommodate a much bigger group than we were, so we look forward to coming back next time with more family! If there was an option to add on a pontoon boat rental, this would be a ten-star review. I would pay $50-$75/day for that option! That said, we did enjoy the canoe and kayak, and the floating chairs. Beautiful, comfortable cabin in the heart of it all! Loved it.

Hi Jessica,
We are very pleased that you enjoyed our A-frame cabin on the lake. The possibility of boat rental is something we could investigate for next summer. We look forward to hosting you and your family again.
The cabin is perfect! It’s beautifully decorated, has 2 bathrooms, which accommodated 2 couple perfectly. It had all of the kitchen utensils needed to cook including a grill. It’s a gorgeous place! We enjoyed our stay there so much. It was so relaxing and peaceful. We caught a lot of fish just off of the dock. One of our group is a nature photographer and she got some fantastic shots of an Eagle who visited the lake everyday. It was GREAT!
The cabin was well maintained and well stocked throughout. The owner was up front, accessible, and responsive; and left us an unexpected and thoughtful gift. During our stay we spent virtually all of our time In The cabin due to -20 to -40 degree windchills. We did not feel cooped up. We may come back when the weather is warmer.
Pam was fantastic. She went above and beyond with her communication and helping us out. We were all sick the first day so we did not travel. Pam let us stay an extra day at no charge if we wanted! There was also no snow, unfortunately, so Pam gave me some ideas of places to travel to to keep us entertained! She was great to work with and the cabin was great! Our family thoroughly enjoyed it and I would recommend it to anyone!
We throughly enjoyed our week here. The home was clean and comfortable even a few days that were in the low 90-degrees. We brought charcoal for the grill but the provided “starter bag” was enough for the two times we grilled. I’m n arriving we were pleasantly surprised with a welcome basket of sweets, coffee, crackers, and pasta that pared well with the Romano spaghetti sauce and Italian salsa in the fridge - we actually went to the Italian store and brought back a LOT of their sauces, frozen ravioli, and the amazing salsa. So thank you for introducing us to that little gem. Home provides a lot of water toys to enjoy beyond the canoe and kayak such as floating lounge chairs. Communication re: the home amenities and other questions were quickly answered with clarity. Great time!

Relaxing stay on Sawyer Lake
My family and I had a wonderful stay on Sawyer Lake. The cabin was well-stocked and well cared for. Very clean and comfortable! The manager, Pam, was very responsive by text and very kind. We were pleasantly surprised to find the kitchen had everything we needed for our stay - pots, pans, tools, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, microwave, and an extra fridge on the lower floor. The bathrooms are updated and clean. Plenty of towels for showers and beach towels for swimming in the lake. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, with plenty of space for our family. We enjoyed hanging out every day on the back deck and on the dock overlooking the lake. The canoe and kayak and water toys got a lot of use during our stay. The best part was the location - quiet and peaceful, with incredible sunsets every night in early July.
