We had a wonderful stay. John and Janis were gracious hosts, the accommodations suited us perfectly and the location was close enough to Sooke and to the wedding venue at French Beach.

Everything was a describe. John / Janis are excellent hosts and have a wonderful spot close to the ocean. Experienced a Wonderful sunset on July 31st. I woke up August 1st with the doves bunnies and deers enjoying the sunrise with me.

Lovely Loft Near Sooke, BC

Really enjoyed our stay. Jon and Janice were great hosts. Beautiful space, plenty of privacy and a 10 minute walk to the beach. Easy to get to, access to the town of Sooke and many beaches and hikes as well. Would stay again. Highly recommend. A bargain for the price.

I stayed here 3 nights, overall it was a great place. It was private, in a very quiet rural setting. There were some hiccups with checkin, I should have checked my messages a little more thoroughly to know what to look for and expect, definitely recommend printing off the instructions ahead of time, cell service is spotty. Another family’s name was written on the space I was staying, so this also threw me for a loop, but all worked out.Overall the space was clean, but did notice some dirty dishes, crumbs left on furniture and in utensil drawer. I did let them know, and they were apologetic.With the loft space, you could walk into the yard and see the ocean, but there wasn’t necessarily a space to sit and take it all in, or not one I noticed anyway.This a great space if you’re looking for a low key relaxed getaway. I would definitely stay here again. John and Janis were great at communicating as well.

Janis and John were excellent hosts. Both my wife and myself slept great. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. It was very restful. There was an information package of local activities and places to explore that was very helpful. John greeted us regularly. We had great visits and he answered all our questions.
