Ideal place on the mountains, calm and quiet , little away from Jasper but very close to the major city Hinton which is just 2 -3 minutes deviation on the way to the place. Perfect for families with kids , 4 bedroom and two bath.. host very good in communication and availability..
We enjoyed the place a lot with our friends and families. It’s a perfect place for people with kids. We love the location and surrounding. It’s peaceful, serene and splendid indeed!! The host is amazing! My daughter said she loved the Air Hockey there. We recommend the place.
Three generations from three continents enjoyed the house with four bedrooms. We liked the setting very much (quiet, quaint, country-like) and slept like babies. Only disappointment was the internet did not work and we didn’t have cable TV (to watch the Stanley Cup playoffs)! Host was attentive and easy to communicate with, and we appreciate the “extra” hospitality in the family pass. Would definitely go again.
Everything you need for a stay in beautiful mountains. We came for a wedding and the location actually backed onto the community hall where the reception was held! We could walk back and forth to the house so that was great. House is in older shape- shows its age- but it was clean and had room for the 8 of us. Basement was quite a bit colder than upstairs but the teenagers stayed warm under blankets. Not sure how that would feel in winter but there is a fireplace you could potentially use. Yard was perfect for the dog to stay outside during the wedding festivities.
It is a very roomie house and has beautiful backyard. It is not on the river, you have to drive few minutes to be able to walk to the river. It is about an hour to 50 minutes away from Jasper downtown. To my error I did not figure out it is very far from downtown Jasper until the first day that we drove to the house. It seems that it is in the middle of nowhere. But it is ten minutes away from another small town which had Safe Way and my favorite Tim Horton's. Being away an hour from Jasper Downtown turn out to be the best thing. Since every time we drove to Jasper we saw a wild life. I have driven all over Canada from Niagara falls all the way to Halifax but we did not see any wild animals. But on this trip we saw Elks ( female and male) long horn sheep's, deers, and bears. So the house turned out to be great place to stay. The host had everything you needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. Clean and quiet area. We enjoyed the house. The TV did not work unless we connected our phone. So we took the hosts advice and enjoyed the out door which was a great advice. I would go back to this hour again.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
In much need of some TLC
Pros:
Nice and clean.
Lots of spices, coffee, Condiments and toiletries.
Lots of dishes.
Spacious.
Instructions everywhere on how to use appliances.
Newer bbq.
Park pass to Jasper.
Cons
75 minutes to Jasper town center, often over 90 minutes with road construction.
Uncomfortable beds.
Fire pit had rotten chairs we could not use and no wood.
Only 3 lawnchairs outside and no chairs for table to eat outside.
No big garbage bin to put household garbage in at checkout.
Many cosmetic holes/damage in walls.
Dim lighting.
Old chair covers trying to hide old falling apart chairs.
Water damage in basement bathroom.
Dangerous step entering house with no railing.
No air conditioning.
We tried to close one blind and it literally fell apart so we stuffed pillows in window to block light.
Phone chargers fell out of electric outlets as they are old and worn out.
We were very disappointed in the longer than expected drive, this would have been ok if the house was great..... but it was not. We stuck it out for two nights but will not return. It gave us shelter.
We're pretty sure the property owner does not live nearby and has no idea how run down her place is.
But we will say it was very clean for those of you who don't care about the condition or long drive!
