River Rest Merrijig - Relaxing riverfront retreat near base of Mt Buller

Our Merrijig retreat is nestled among towering gum and oak trees, on the banks of the Delatite River and just a 5 minute drive to the base of Mount Buller and Mount Stirling. It is the ideal escape for families and groups seeking both relaxation and adventure. Perfectly situated for year-round enjoyment, River Rest Merrijig is your gateway to winter snow escapades, summer hikes, mountain bike trails, and best of all, fishing in the pristine waters of the Delatite right from your own backyard.

The space accommodates up to 10 guests, including a master bedroom with king bed and ensuite, a second bedroom complete with queen bed and a third room equipped with bunks. Each bunk has a single bed above and a double bed beneath. Aside from the ensuite, there is a main bathroom with shower and vanity as well as a separate toilet for a comfortable stay.

Unwind on the elevated deck, where views of the forest and river create a picturesque backdrop. Breathe in the fresh mountain air, accompanied by the calming sound of the river flowing nearby. Kids will love spotting the kangaroos and deer that roam the bushland.

Indoors, enjoy the open plan kitchen and living area equipped with all the necessities to cook up a family meal and a cosy fireplace for those winter nights.
