The host was very responsive the home was so beautiful and cozy. They paid homage to it's 1800's roots but the inside still is very modern. We really enjoyed our stay!
We loved the spacious rooms of the farmhouse and appreciated it’s quirkiness. We found everything in the kitchen that we needed and appreciated how organized it and its cleanliness. We enjoyed our stay in this unique property.
Charming 19th century farmhouse with tons of original character. Lots of space for the family to gather inside and out. Short drive into Catskill or across the river to Hudson. Lots of great hikes nearby. Hosts were communicative, helpful, and friendly.

Everything you need in a beautiful setting
We have stayed at many vacation homes over the years; I must say Christopher's house is probably the most well equipped home we have ever encountered. The amount of utensils, pot, pans, kitchen gadgets, appliances was to behold! What made it even more special was the fact that everything was in its place, neat and orderly. The beauty of an 1830's farmhouse was pristine, from the wide wooden planks throughout to some of the original doors. And of course, the house was modern in every electronic aspect you could expect, as well as the bathrooms and the kitchen.Christopher was quick to answer a few inquiries we had, not about the house itself, but about the location of the snow sleds so we could use this wonderful hill near the house or about a bakery recommendation. Overall, we very much enjoyed our wonderful, albeit short, stay at this great property.

From the Owner: "We are too thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the house, and seemed to love it as much as we do! We welcome you to return anytime."
Pros:Excellent condition and well stocked with all sorts of good stuff...games, kitchen, mosquito repellents and citronella candles, binoculars if you want to use them, etcOlder house with lots of charm. Clean. Good communication with host.Good location for Hudson river and north Catskills hikes Cons:We were fine but part of the older charm is also some rooms have lower ceiling and might be a bit tricky for low mobility/senior citizens or tall people. But first couple bedrooms are straightforward and it should work out for most groups Lots of cutlery and pots but struggled to find some good pans. No AC...though number of fans are provided, including ceiling fans so it worked for us. Latter half of June and July-August are really only the two months when it gets really hot (over 85-90F) in this area anyway.Windows are old and so might be tricky in winter, I imagine, insulation-wise
