It was great to get away with our blind dog in a dog friendly property with a fabulous view. We so enjoyed waiting and watching for the ferry's and trains. We also loved Mills Bay Mussels and a few wineries. Stocked up on wine. Loved the natural nature of the area.

What a beautiful home for our family weekend away! Beautifully presented with lots of interesting art to stir the soul! Clean tidy and well equipped with everything you could need. Gaylene was a fantastic host-super accomodating and really responsive! Thank you Gaylene! Location is wonderful, with lovely tracks very close by! Perfect place to stay!

We were a family of three adults and one 16 year old. I can't say enough wonderful things about the apartment, and Kirsty was quick to respond with any questions. The apartment is large, with sweeping views of the harbor. The kitchen was fully stocked with all implements you might need. The stove and oven are induction. Fortunately my daughter has one in her home, so we were familiar with its use. The bathrooms and kitchen were spacious and updated. Beds very comfortable. Honestly, I can't think of any drawbacks. Everything about this property makes you feel calm and relaxed. A perfect spot for a getaway.
The views are amazing, it is warm & cosy & has a lovely indoor/outdoor flow.
Then to top it off....a fabulous spa pool to unwind in.
The communication from our host Brad was exceptional. We will certainly be recommending Firkin's Retreat to friends & family.

This is such a beautiful place to stay, a lovely peaceful location, the views are amazing and it's only a 2-minute walk down to the beach and jetty. Broadford has everything you need for a comfortable stay in a holiday home. Thanks Rosie.

Amazing home that felt like we were secluded in Tuscany. Lots of beautiful art. We had a wonderful stay as a family and wish we could’ve stayed longer. The home is a short walk from the nearby bay. We did have noisy neighbours one night so I’d recommend putting in a complaint sooner than later to the council if it happens again ;) Also note that the bay doesn’t have rubbish collection so you need to take rubbish with you.
