Matamata-Piako District mountain rentals

Great for a couples runaway. I especially liked running for an hour on the golf course. The wake we attended was very well catered so being able to run on golf course was welcome.

Such a breathtaking view and everything we needed. Loved the outdoor baths. Really hope to return very soon!

Stunning location above Katikati with outstanding views across the bush to Tauranga Harbour, Matakana Island and Mayor Island beyond. This well-planned immaculate retreat with tasteful decor, set in a beautiful parklike garden setting was beyond expectation. The sunset and the night sky from the spa was amazing. Definitely a place worth returning to.

This is the 2nd year we have stayed at Chalet in the Shire and it is still every bit as wonderful as our first time was. One the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on, clean and comfortable, a huge fenced grass paddock for the pooch to frolic in, plus breakfast items consisting of eggs, toast, jam, muesli, milk and fruit juice are stocked in the chalet upon arrival. The ice tray was full and a jug of cold water in the fridge ready to drink. It's this extra care that will keep us going back for years to come still. Thanks again Sarah.

This place is a little gem and a beautiful getaway for people who like peace and quiet and relaxation. We really enjoyed ourselves here.

What a wonderful find. This little cabin/cottage is perfect for anyone wanting to get away and unwind, relax, explore the Kaimai walking tracks and visit the nearby towns. It is well equipped and the hosts have thought of everything. Loved the candles, spa bath and treats. Thank you, Denver and Diane, we absolutely loved your cabin!

This was a perfect fit for my parents and aunties visiting for the weekend. The hosts were amazing and accomodation was cozy and warm. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again for sure.
