About this property

Georgian Townhouse | 5 Bedrooms | Central Bath

Summary:

Step into the world of Jane Austen and stay in the heart of Georgian Bath. Our beautiful townhouse, built around 300 years ago, blends historic character with bold, colourful interiors and modern comforts. Tucked away on a quiet Georgian street, yet only a short stroll from Bath’s famous sights, restaurants and shops, it offers the best of both worlds. Spacious and welcoming, it’s a home made for gathering, relaxing and enjoying Bath together.

The Space:

Set over four floors, our Georgian townhouse offers five comfortable double bedrooms and three spacious bathrooms, accommodating up to 10 guests. Full of character, the house combines Georgian features with carefully chosen antiques, original details and distinctive décor, giving every room its own personality. The thoughtful layout gives everyone space to come together, while also offering plenty of opportunities to retreat and enjoy some quiet time. The well-arranged kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals together, with built-in benches around the table creating a cosy place to eat and gather.

Guest Access:

Guests have exclusive access to the entire house and all its facilities. You’ll have your own private entrance, with convenient keyless entry via a digital lock, so you can come and go with ease throughout your stay.

The Neighborhood:

Princes Street is situated at the very centre of Georgian Bath. Stroll the 18th-century avenues and squares, and marvel at the medieval Abbey or Roman Baths, all just a short walk away. Galleries, cafes, tea rooms, pubs and shops are on the doorstep.

Getting Around:

Train and bus stations are only 10 minutes walk from the house.

At the moment we have no parking available on premisses. You can always stop on double yellow lines for 5-10 mins right outside the house to unload/load your luggage.

The closest car park is around 5-10 minutes walk - Charlotte Street Car Park. It’s one of the cheapest options as well. Post code - BA1 2NE. 12 Hours - £15.00; 2 Days - £30.00; 3 Days - £45.00;

Other Things to Note:

We want you to feel at home from the moment you arrive. All beds are made with 100% cotton French linen, and we provide quality bathroom toiletries, free WiFi and a few essentials to help you settle in, including tea, coffee and sugar. Coffee lovers will find a Lavazza machine ready for that first morning cup.

For families travelling with little ones, we provide a travel cot, high chair and a selection of toys.

The house is arranged over four floors and has narrow staircases, typical of a historic Georgian townhouse. There is no lift. Guests with mobility difficulties, or anyone who may find narrow or steeper stairs challenging, should take this into consideration when booking.

The house is designed to be enjoyed together — whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, bringing family and friends together, or simply spending a few days discovering Bath. We’re happy to welcome well-behaved gatherings and celebrations, while asking all guests to be considerate of our neighbours.

Interaction with Guests:

We’re always happy to help during your stay and are available by phone or message whenever you need us. We’re also delighted to share our local recommendations and favourite places in Bath, from good food and coffee to walks and hidden gems.

Family Christmas holiday

The house was warm, very comfortable, cosy and very well equipped for our stay. The location was perfect - the street was quiet yet only a short walk from the city sights. We had planned to be a party of 10 but ened up as 7 plus dog. The house was perfect for our number - 10 adults may have been a bit of a squash. We had an absolutely wonderful time and would definitely return. Highly recommend!

Excellent accommodations!

The house was perfect for our group of seven. It was clean, and central to shops, restaurants and attractions. Communication with Host was very easy. The kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay!

Charming period house

Very well located little place within a short walk of everything. Charmingly decorated to a high standard to invoke a regency kind of vibe. Living area is quite small for the number of bedrooms and there is no outside area. Exit from the front door is straight onto the street. No parking but Charlotte street car park is only a short walk away. Cellar kitchen is well equipped but ventilation and lighting not great. Beds very comfortable and bathrooms are high standard. I would not recommend for children due to small living area and steep stairs. Our all adult group had a very good Christmas.

Damp

The kitchen, dining room And bathroom are in the basement and there was a terrible damp problem. They have a humidifier constantly running which we had to empty regularly. This should be noted along with the property because my husband suffers from asthma and it wasn’t very enjoyable for him and even I coughed a lot. Up on the top floor bed rooms were fine, which is where he had to stay. Bit disappointing because it is decorated to a high standard.

Hello Jan, thank you for your review. I am very sorry about the damp issue that you experienced during your stay. The house is dated back to 18th century and of course it comes with some structural/maintenance issues because of that. We generally don’t have it that bad, but a lot of rain last few weeks made it worse, unfortunately. We brought a professional dehumidifier trying to improve the situation and will look into it further. Please accept my apology again and I hope it didn’t spoil your stay. I am glad you like the decor and our effort to keep it as a high standard property. Regards, Anastasia.

Fantastic property!

Stayed at this property to see in the new year and can’t recommend it enough! Fantastic location and only a stones throw away from shops/restaurants/bars. Every room has been decorated beautifully, with their own style and finishing touches. Check in process was smooth with just a code to get in and out. Thank you Anastasia!
