Enclosed garden with patio, garden furniture and barbecue. Private parking for 1 car; additional on road parking. No smoking.. During the first half of 2018 this apartment has been renovated and improved. The garden has undergone a complete overhaul as have the majority of the rooms within the apartment. Returning guests will notice a vast difference including the relocation of the front door and the removal of the conservatory being replaced with an orangery complete with underfloor heating. This family and pet-friendly self-contained holiday apartment occupies the entire ground floor of a converted detached Victorian house. It is centrally located for exploring Bournemouth, Westbourne and Poole.

The property is the perfect base to explore the Purbeck Hills, the port of Poole, Sandbanks and the New Forest. Nearby, take boat trips to local places of interest, including the National Trust’s Brownsea Island Nature Reserve and the RSPB Nature Reserve near Poole Harbour. Fishing, watersports and golf are all available locally and for vibrant nightlife and shopping, visit Poole and Bournemouth. Attractions close by include Farmer Palmers, Monkey World, The Tank Museum, Tower Park and Tyneham Village. Beach 3½ miles. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

What a beautiful apartment, very clean, comfortable and homely.

What a beautiful apartment, very clean, comfortable and homely. We especially loved the tv in each bedroom, relaxing bath tub and comfy bed. Loved the lounge with sky light.All the art work made the apartment so homely. The owners are just so thoughtful and left us a bottle of wine, delicious cake and treats for our dog. We would love to stay here again.

A great place to stay, close to shops and amenities. Spotlessly clean on arrival with wine and cake for us and some treats for the dogs. Lovely spacious open plan living area with underfloor heating and a huge sky window to let in sunlight so never cold. A nice patio area to sit out on warm nights. The driveway can be a challenge with a big car but there is always on street parking in the area so not an issue. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We had a lovely Christmas break at the Apartment. It was warm and cosy yet big and spacious enough for our family and dog to visit us for lunch. The living space was bright and airy with plenty on seating. The kitchen was compact but with everything we needed. There were big TV's in both bedrooms as well as the lounge area. The only down-side was the drive which was extremely steep and narrow. We found it better to park in the streets nearby unless we had to have the car nearby. We met the owners who had gone beyond expectations to make sure we had a memorable time.

The apartment met our needs, and was well equipped. The living space was comfortable and spacious. Our only issues were the smell of dogs, which not being dog owners was quite noticeable to us, and the occupants of the apartment above us could be quite noisy at times.

A very well presented holiday apartment.

A very well presented holiday apartment. We were very impressed with the efforts the owners have made to the place, it is bright and comfortable and we settled in very quickly for our 4 night stay. The welcome pack was very nice and the supplied information folder was so useful with ideal places to visit and all the information we needed, one of the owners popped in on the 1st day to introduce herself and to warn us about the occupants of the flat above. Now I had read previous reviews where others had commented on the noise from the above flat but to be honest it wasn't an issue for us given that apart some music played at a slightly higher volume on one afternoon and general loud talking we didn't have a problem as it didn't disturb our little daughter during our stay. It really shouldn't taint the review of this property as the owners have no control over the occupants behaviour but might be something to keep in mind. We will say that all the small things that the owners have done really highlighted the apartment, from the plentiful supply of electrical sockets throughout (some with USB sockets) to the spare dog leads and towels just for dogs which are a very nice thought. They supplied a little book for improvement suggestions which we couldn't add to. As others have mentioned yes the driveway is a bit steep but I didn't have problem because I reversed my car up so that the it didn't catch the front bumper. All in all we highly recommend this property.

The holiday apartment is very comfortable, very well catered and within walking distance to local shops. Short drive to Bournemouth and beaches. The driveway is very narrow and steep, which some may not prefer. The check in time is really late, 4pm and check out very early at 10am which eats into stay. Having said that, the hosts were very flexible and arranged for us to check in earlier with our little one. A 10 am checkout which requires that you clean up, wash and put all kitchen utensils, cutlery etc, vacuum and strip beds (as per the rules), is a bit cheeky and the only accommodation where I’ve experienced this. The kitchen is well equipped although the only recommendation would be to replace the saucepans which do not sit flat on the cooking surface. The side gate which backs onto grassy area where bins are kept, had a lot of broken glass on the ground which should not have been there from a H&S perspective. That said, it’s the first accommodation where there were doggy poo bags and dog shampoo provided for our pooch. There were numerous books, board games etc provided and attention to detail was impressive in some respects more notably the salt for gritting the drive etc in the event of snow, fans provided for the hotter weather and bbq equipment. On balance, very good accommodation which would have scored higher if the check in timings and check out requirements were more in keeping with general accommodation timings and requirements usually 2pm check in and 11am check out, no cleaning required and no broken glass anywhere on the premises.
