This is the highest house in the Tarn et Garonne, the views are truly magnificent from every part of the property. On a clear day you can see the Cantal mountains 120k to the north and the Pyrenees 200k to the south. The original house and barn built in 1896 and 1901 now form one building and were converted to this five-bedroom luxury home by the present owner. The house is well-equipped, with comfortable beds and Egyptian cotton bed-linen and towels. The main floor creates a huge living area, ideal for large groups and includes a large conservatory, swimming pool, hot tub and multiple terraces. There is plenty of parking plus optional garaging.
This property’s size makes it ideal for special events or reunions. Special interest groups such as artists, writers and alternative therapies will enjoy the light, space and tranquility. Musicians and older children can make as much noise as they like- there are only cows to hear and they don’t complain often. The stunning countryside and quiet winding roads make for interesting and fun driving. The house makes an ideal base as there is plenty of parking and garaging is available for touring cars and motorbikes if required. There are also plenty of walks on the doorstep and the house sits just above the PR2 Promenades et Randonees routes that are found throughout France, making the house a perfectly situated for two and four-legged walkers alike. Kindly note the house is not recommended for children under school age due to multiple balconies. Access is via staircases.

THE GITE
A self-contained cosy apartment adjoining the main house. Open-plan living area with kitchen (oven, hob and microwave), living and dining areas. TV with freesat. Upstairs shower room and a bedroom that can be arranged as two singles or a large double bed. A convertible sofa bed (180 x 118cm) ideal for children or teenagers accommodates 2 more guests in the living room. Courtyard garden and sunbathing area.
OUTSIDE
The house is on a quiet lane surrounded by uninterrupted views over farmland, it's very tranquil and private-you can't see another neighbour from the house. In the gardens you will find a former bread oven in the shade of a very happy fig tree and apple, pear, cherry, plum and peach trees in the small orchard. In the autumn the loudest sound you can hear is the chestnuts dropping. You can-see wildlife in abundance -birds of prey, herons, owls, bats, deer, even the occasional wild boar. The climate is warm in the summer and clear and crisp in the short winter We enjoy a late autumn and early spring making it an ideal early or late season break.
EAT, DRINK, EXPLORE, ENJOY
There is a good choice of restaurants locally and a Michelin-star restaurant at Belcastel for those wanting something special. The house is in the heart of Bastide country (walled towns) on the Tarn et Garonne/Aveyron border. The Aveyron has the most 'Plus Beaux Villages' (villages of outstanding beauty) in France. The area is rich in history and stunning sights with plenty to explore.
OUTDOOR PURSUITS
Horse riding, tennis courts, canoeing, public swimming pool with diving boards with 10 mins. Wild swimming is also nearby.
Najac has an outdoor pursuits centre with zip wire and obstacle course.
the house is 200m from the 'Petit Randonees' hiking routes that cross France. Skiing: Cantal mountains (cross country) 2h30 Andorra/Pyrenees 4h.
