Primrose Cottage provided the perfect holiday retreat whilst retaining that warm homely feeling. It was equipped to a high standard by owners who obviously take pride in the quality of fixtures and fittings for their guests. It is located in a quiet village within easy range of Exeter City or the Devon and Dorset coastal areas. The private secluded garden was a particularly welcome feature. Although the village shop has closed, the Farm Shop of Powderham Castle is a five minute walk from the cottage (slight gradient but none too taxing) and provided a wide range of quality provisions. There are walking and cycling paths criss-crossing the area for those who have a mind to explore. A range of eating places are within easy reach (two Restaurants in the village) and the Fish and Chip Van which visits the car park for a couple of hours on Wednesday evening is a must! Our ten day stay was peaceful and relaxing and the cottage played a large part in making that happen.
