Nerja! The jewel of the Costa del Sol. Probably the best climate in Europe!



Nerja is a coastal town at the foot of the Almijara mountains with a long tradition of fishing and agriculture. The fishermen still pull their nets ashore on Burriana beach and fresh produce can still be bought from the doorways of local people´s houses. The weekly market (Tuesdays) attracts many traders and shoppers from all over the region and the town centre has a vibrant, friendly atmosphere with many lovely shops and tapas bars & restaurants.



While Nerja bears no resemblance to the ´high-rise´ holiday developments often associated with the Costa del Sol, it is a popular destination for North European and Spanish tourists and offers all the necessary ingredients for a fantastic holiday - good road link to airport (45 minutes), a huge choice of restaurants to suit every budget, bars, cafes, nightclubs, beautiful clean beaches and of course lots of sunshine.



A car is not necessary for a holiday in Nerja as everywhere in town is easily accessible by foot and there are good local bus, taxi and coach services



Nerja is a wonderful contrast between a sleepy fishing village with a fantastic lively atmosphere in the evenings ideal for families, couples and friends. Nerja has five wonderful sandy beaches offering sunbed & parasol hire, watersports, pedaloes, tapas bars and restaurants.



The famous Cuevas de Nerja and the picturesque Frigiliana are only a short distance away. Granada is now just over an hour´s drive by car and there are several typical towns and villages within easy reach either in the Alpujarras mountains or closer along the lovely Costa Tropical which is still one of the most beautiful stretches of coast in Europe.

Lovely stay

I liked that since my last stay the bedrooms have been updated and the new ceiling fans do wonders. It’s always a lovely place to stay. The only improvement would be to add the ceiling fans you have in the bedrooms to the downstairs as well.

Lovely little townhouse

Clean and tidy two bedroom town house in the Pueblo Andalus complex. Small pool on this side of the road. The larger pool in the picture is across the road

Lovely, very clean apartment very close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Beds were very comfortable and we had all we needed. We’ve had a wonderful stay. Only reason I gave it 4 star is because it doesn’t have airconditioning. This was clear to me when I booked it, but it would make this apartment better.

Enjoyed our stay in Nerja with Nerja Rentals. The accommodation was in a lovely area within easy walking distance of all attractions, shops and restaurants. Be aware that the area is hilly. We were given clear and adequate information as to how to access the accommodation and the host was very responsive to questions we asked before departure. The house was clean and well equipped, we particularly enjoyed the upstairs balcony for breakfast. Our stay was in late November so we loved the early morning sunshine from there.The picture on the listing site is misleading, our town house overlooked a lovely courtyard and not the pool as shown. There is a pool but this is over the road a few hundred yards away - not an issue in itself but may be a factor for some guests. While we may have had access to the pool to swim there was no where to relax or dry of after. Overall we enjoyed the accommodation and felt the hosts catered for our needs well.Would recommend and intend to go again
