Mason’s home is a cozy and comfy getaway that makes you feel like you are in the middle of the desert and yet just a few minutes away from all that Palm Springs has to offer.
The place is perfect for a solo traveler or a couple, including a standing workstation that is super convenient for remote workers! The bed is comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. And one of the major highlights is opening the door to an outside patio and garden with uninterrupted clear views of the San Jacinto mountains! Perfect setting for those who like meditation and connection with nature.
It was our second stay and hopefully not the last one. Highly recommend!

Good location Comfortable place.
We enjoyed the place it is in a good location, near stores and the home has what you need to eat at home. Nice open area to enjoy the weather. The place is a bit minimal we had to add a few things to feel at home for the length of our stay, a dresser for our clothes would have been good. We used our computers to watch TV from our Sat system at home. The Internet is very good, for just a bit more there could be TV stations. We used an antenna and got local stations over the air which was great. We made day trips to the desert and saw the living desert place. We recomend the place for a winter get away.

About the host
Hosted by Mason Smith
I'm a desert snowbird and am happy to share my space with others. I live here seasonally so you'll find that my place is very well equipped for monthly stays.
While I'm just minutes walking distance from the Uptown commercial area, the unit sits on a large lot and I don't have neighbors on two sides. You may feel like you're in the expansive desert, but you'll benefit from all of Palm Springs' amenities just around the corner.
Although I'm new to VRBO, I've been an active Airbnb host and guest for more than a decade.
Why they chose this property
I have family up and down the valley and I love spending time in Palm Springs, especially in the winter. I love the spacious lot of this property and its orientation to the mountains. The view is spectacular, and I enjoy watching the details change across the seasons and throughout each day. I greet each day watching the morning light grow across the mountains, and in the afternoons, enjoying direct sun from the patio chairs.
What makes this property unique
You will have access to your unit, a spacious shared patio, a private outdoor seating area, ample off street parking, and a shared washer (tap water only) and dryer.
My place is within a 10 minute walk to local institutions like Boozehounds, Arrive Hotel, Trixie Motel, Sandfish Sushi, Cartel Roasting Co, 1501 Uptown, and Toucan Tiki Lounge.
My place is one unit in a three unit home (triplex). The folks in the other two units are longtime Palm Springs residents and are very thoughtful and courteous neighbors.
The building is on a secondary thoroughfare, serving through and local traffic. The windows were updated in July 2022 with double pane noise cancelling glass to keep it nice and quiet inside! There's a white noise machine if you're super sensitive to noise.
