We enjoyed our stay this past weekend. There were four ladies who were returning to their 50th reunion from Baylor.
The home was clean, the owner very accommodating and it was in a very nice neighborhood.

Booking pictures need to be updated. Three mounted animal heads in master bedroom disconcerting. Booking not clear this is a personal residence. Closets and drawers stuffed with owners personal clothing. Therefore, no hanging or drawer space for guests. Was a little uncomfortable being in a personal residence. Kitchen and bathroom are well stocked. Host gave quick responses to text and email questions.
Very comfortable & welcoming with everything we needed for our stay- wonderful beds & lots of blankets & pillows. Kitchen was very clean, organized & well-stocked! Bathrooms were very clean with super water pressure & lots of amenities. 3 Big screen televisions!
The house was perfect for us! I especially enjoyed the two cats! (Oliver slept with me both nights!) The chickens and fresh eggs were an added bonus. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. I would stay there again!
This place had us all smiling! The kids loved the chickens, cats and the big open backyard. The adults loved the coffee bar and patio! These owners are sooo nice and easy to communicate with.
Ann is a great host, and has a very comfortable home to stay in; so great that this is my second stay here. She is very proactive at communicating, and the house is perfect for relaxing & socializing with friends. Her house is in a convenient and nice neighborhood; close to campus and really everything in Waco.
Comfy beds, a complete coffee bar, and guest toiletries are evidence of her attention to detail for her guests. I highly recommend her place. Thx, Ann!
Anne was very accommodating when we had to make last-minute arrangements to evacuate from our home. Her house was beautiful, and bigger than I expected it to be from the listing. It was also only a short drive to the Cameron Park Zoo -- it was exactly what we needed :)
The owner was lovely and easy to communicate with! The place was easy to navigate and very cute but seemed to be someone’s primary residence, which felt a bit odd.
The home was warm and charming . Clean , homey , very nice neighborhood. Anne was terrific to deal with .

Great deal with very helpful owners
We had a great time. This house was perfect for three couples. We enjoyed the chickens and cat. Owner was super helpful with recommendations of where to eat and things to do (even providing turn-by-turn driving directions). Nice, quiet neighborhood. Thanks for helping us have such a great time!

Relaxing weekend stay
Waco was our "half way" point between Austin and Dallas for our adult get together. We had a great time in the home. One of our party of four is allergic to cats, but did not have an issue while staying here. It is incredibly clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. Each morning we lounged on the back patio drinking coffee and watching the free range chickens. We even threw out some chicken scratch the hosts left for us to use while being entertained by the chickens. I had much more fun with that than I anticipated. Anne was great with communication by checking in with me and making sure everything went well. We went to one of the suggested restaurants (Olive Branch) and thoroughly enjoyed our brunch! We would definitely stay here again!

we were very pleased with the size of rooms & sleeping arrangements including a recliner
Our overall experience was wonderful. We had problems with the tv because of using 2 remotes. Anne was always available & helped us thru it but the next time we tried doing the same thing it seems we had problems again. I’m sure young people would have no problem, but we were all old. Anne again was helpful and didn’t seem upset that we were bothering her with questions. We enjoyed the backyard where there were 5 chickens. That was fun to feed them. There was also a cat that came and went. We had to be careful because one of our ladies is allergic to cats ( although she loves them) so we kept the bedroom doors shut. The cat did not jump up on the furniture and was outside most of the time. No problems there. Waco was a wonderful experience and we did a lot of driving around. It seems like it is either feast or famine. The area we were in was very nice and just a few blocks away very bad. That’s what we saw all over Waco. There are still lots of houses for Chip & Joanna to fix up! If you go be sure to take the Waco Tour which was so worth the money. All in all it was a wonderful 3 days we spent in Waco and we’d like to go back again! Another wonderful place to eat (besides Magnolia Table!) was Jakes Tearoom. Fabulous and was recommended to us by Joanna’s mother who we met at the church they all go to. It was awesome with old 50’s cars etc at the restaurant. Food was so good there.

Girls Weekend
We just spent a lovely week end in Waco, Texas. The weather was perfect and so was the house we rented. We were able to access the house without any problems and found the interior very pleasant and comfortable. Oh, and very clean. There were 6 of us and we all felt comfortable. Everything we needed was there. The coffee bar was fully stocked and easy to use. We never cooked in the kitchen but it seemed to have everything. There were chickens and cats that lived on the premise but that wasn't a problem. It just added to the adventure. We would recommend this little house to anyone looking for a quiet comfy location in Waco.

Great house! Pictures don't do it justice
Great clean house! 10 minutes from everything. Anne offered everything we needed and then some. The cats were absolutely no bother at all! Also, the house is much cuter and cozier than the pictures lead on. We even had a minor incident and they took care of it quickly and professionally, we greatly appreciate that!

About the host

I have lived in Waco since 2009, and throughout the years have been busy exploring all of the small town charm Waco has to offer (and believe it or not, it has a lot!). I work for the city and am currently exploring my entrepreneurial spirits.
Things I cannot live without: coffee, vegetable gardening, good wine, hunting, and lots of love. In my opinion, these things make up a happy life. I love to travel to all types of destinations: international, local small towns and throughout the U.S.
I am excited to begin using VBRO and love staying in unique spaces while having the ability to cook meals for myself while away. Many of these places feel like a home away from home and I hope to offer that same experience to my guests!
Why they chose this property
This newly remodeled 1950's home is located in the Historic Dean Highlands Neighborhood, a short drive to McLane Stadium, Cameron Park and Magnolia Market. House comes with all of the amenities, great for football headquarters during game weekends!
What makes this property unique
You will have access to all of the grounds, our home is to be used and enjoyed. The back yard is perfect enjoying coffee, wine or food and watching the birds scratch for food. Or enjoy outdoor games like flag football, washers or ladder golf (not included, but encouraged)! Please be aware that we have two cats that reside on the property 24/7 and have access to the house through a discrete cat door. We also have chickens that free-range in the backyard, so please always close all gates! ***PLEASE NOTE: With access to the house at all times, cats will be cats and it MAY happen they bring in an alive or dead "present" to guests. This happens RARELY, but if this could be a deal breaker for you, please plan accordingly!!!
