One bedroom city centre apartment with parking and a King Size bed located in a modern secure gated development within the historic city walls. 10 minutes walk from York Station and a short walk across the river finds you in the city centre only a few minutes away from all that York has to offer. The apartment is on the ground floor but in an elevated position at the front and there are communal gardens at the rear. The lounge features french doors opening onto a Juliet Balcony. Rooms: Hallway with large walk-in cupboard, Lounge with leather and solid oak furniture and flat screen TV, DVD player, iPod docking station and a selection of CD’s and DVD’s, free unlimited Wi-fi. Solid oak dining table with seating for four. Kitchen area with dishwasher and washing machine. Bedroom with king size bed and pine furniture, clock radio and hairdryer. Bathroom with shower over the bath and heated towel rail. Electric heating is provided for the cooler months. Complimentary toiletries and tissues are provided on arrival. Paid parking available nearby. USB charging sockets are available in the bedroom and living room.

Great location. Apartment had all amenities we needed for 3 nights. Only downside- poor air conditioning in warm weather.

Judy thank you for your review. The apartment does not have air-conditioning, you would struggle to find an apartment in the UK with this facility. During your time in York we have been experiencing a 'heat wave' with temperatures reaching levels that the UK does not normally have.

Great place to stay in York

The flat is very comfortable and very clean. All the amenities one would need. It's in a quiet area and it's just a short walk to the center of town. Highly recommend.

City escape in York

Our stay on York was amazingly, the communication with the host was fantastic. The unit was very central to everything, surpermarkets, The York Minister, Shambles and all of the popular sites that York has to offer. Having a under cover car space was a bonus

This was a very well equipped apartment. Very clean and comfortable. Great location for walk into York town centre. The checking in process was very easy. It was great to have private gated parking too.

We believe that our ‘meet and greet’ service works very well and gives our guests the opportunity to ask any questions they may have regarding their stay in our apartment and in York. Having private gated car parking within York’s city walls which is included within our nightly fee is always well received by our guests and is a huge benefit, when parking in the city can be difficult to find and expensive.

Delightful place to stay in York

From booking to checkout, this listing ticked all the boxes for a perfect city stay in York. the Host Elaine and her wonderful mistress of check in Amanda, were super and we loved the convenience of the apartment location- walked everywhere. The flat itself is perfect for two people and we appreciated the welcome treat of breakfast things after our long journey. Highly recommend this listing!

Absolutely Best Choice

If you are looking for a perfect accomodation in York that is quiet, secure, tasteful and conveniently located, you won't find one better. Great communication with the owner, an easy walk to/from the train station are pluses and the unit is so nice, you may find it hard to leave.

Perfect spot in York

This property was the ideal spot from which to investigate all that York has to offer. From the moment we were met at the gate to the warm and welcoming feeling the instant we walked into the space, this was an idyllic stay. Access York!

After three years of COVID delays, we were able to make it to York. This accommodation was absolutely perfect with all we needed (and more) to be right at home. It was well appointed to a high standard and immaculate. We were easily able to stroll the streets and wall of York , and had the river right on our doorstep. We highly recommend this property!

Very helpful Cleanliness: 99% products left: Butter/jam but nothing to put them on & very tiny bottle of milk which was off Very cosy & homely Bathroom is not suitable for disabled - deep bath & shower with no shower mat or handle to get out (definitely needs one) Decor/location - excellent Fantastic check out time of 11am

Sarah thank you for taking the time to write a review. We provide a small amount of milk, tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits so that our guests are able to make a hot drink on arrival. The milk is always provided fresh on check-in days. We’re sorry that you thought the milk was “off” and had you let either myself or Amanda know we would have replaced it immediately. This is a self-catering apartment but we leave pastries, juice and a small amount of butter and jam to save our guests having to buy these themselves for short stays. We do not provide bread etc, as we can’t cater for everyone’s different tastes, but there is a Sainsbury's local just around the corner. We have tried our best to make the apartment homely so that our guests feel it’s a 'home from home'. We provide a bath mat to step on-to out of the bath, but due to the covi-19 situation we are not currently providing a rubber mat for in the bath, however one could have been provided if you had specifically requested one from either myself or Amanda. There is a picture of the bathroom on the web site, the bath is a normal domestic bath and has a handle on either side. Unfortunately, this apartment did not meet your disability requirements, but we do not advertise that it caters for disabilities. We otherwise hope you enjoyed your say in our apartment and found its central location and secure allocated covered parking beneficial.

Excellent accommodation, excellent location for exploring the city of York everything 5 min walk away but also not noisy in the evenings if you just want to chill and stay in. The tank and paddle is a nice large bar with plenty of different drinks to chose from but does get very busy if you a quieter pub the the c..k and bottle round the corner is also a nice friendly pub to visit

My wife and I stayed here at the end of March for four nights and would have loved to have stayed longer. The property was of a very high standard with everything you would need for your stay, with the added bonus of secure parking on site. Check in with Amanda was simple, informative, friendly & professional. This ground floor apartment is Ideally located for everything York has to offer, we only used the car once after we arrived as it is situated in York centre so we walked everywhere. Though in the centre of the city we were not disturbed by noise. We will definitely be returning and have recommended to our family and friends.

Lovely New Year stay. Modern well furnished apartment with lots of personal touches (Welcome pack tea/coffee/biscuits/Milk/croissants etc)- Ground floor so easy access. Very clean had everything we could ask for Walking distance to City - Tank & Paddle at end of street (2 min walk) excellent if you like real/craft beers. A real Gem

Beautiful property with excellent secure parking. The communication was really good too. The property was warm, bright and welcoming, the addition of Christmas decorations was most appreciated. They provided everything we could possibly need for our stay, including a very nice basket of croissants and jams. The apartment is very clean and beautifully decorated too. The shower is nice and powerful and the big, fluffy towels were lovely. Town is only a short walk over the river the apartment is in a good location close to pubs and other amenities. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be booking again. Quite a few of our friends are booking after seeing our photographs. Many, many thanks to the owners
