Charming 3‑Bedroom St Andrews Cottage on North Street with Garden, Parking & Walk to Town

A little gem set back just off North Street, Willow Cottage is perfectly situated for easy access to all of St Andrews' amenities and just a 2 minutes from The Old Course and West Sands beach, directly down Gillespie Wynd.

The galley-style kitchen comes equipped with all that you require for your holiday in St Andrews and overlooks the cottage's private outdoor space to the side. To the front of the property, the cosy living area boasts a gas fire and piano and provides access into the separate dining room with plenty of seating. There is also a separate W.C. on the ground floor.

The first floor encompasses two twin bedrooms and a master bathroom, with a shower over the bath.

Willow Cottage benefits from its own private parking spot, as well as a private gravelled outdoor patio area with a table, chairs, and bench. A great little sun spot!

Gillespie Wynd can be accessed just up the lane, which brings you out directly on to The Scores. North Street is just 100m away, which is where you will find many of the best local restaurants and cafés, as well as the cinema and Cathedral ruins. Bibi's café is located on the corner as you enter the lane, perfectly situated for nipping by for some morning pastries, or eating in for a spot of breakfast, brunch, or lunch.

Charming cottage, perfect location!

After staying at Willow Cottage, I don’t think I would want to be anywhere else in St Andrews — the location was just perfect for us: steps away from a great coffee shop and a great bookstore, a few blocks from the grocery store, the shops, the bus station… and a door from the garden opens onto the passageway through the block of houses that leads to the aquarium and a view of the Sands! Everything was clean and fresh, the kitchen was well-equipped, and we loved passing the food out the window to eat breakfast at the little table outside :)

Perfect cottage in the heart of St Andrews

The Willow Cottage was the perfect home base for me as I moved my daughter into university. The cottage is bright, welcoming, modern, and very clean, and felt very private even though it is in the heart of the city. Two bedrooms upstairs allow for a quiet retreat from the main floor, and the washer/dryer option was a nice feature. I would happily stay here again!

Lovely Cottage in a Perfect Location

Our stay at Willow Cottage was wonderful. The cottage was just lovely and the location was so convenient—right in the heart of St. Andrews. We could walk everywhere! The cottage was beautifully decorated and a great place to rest and relax after spending the day exploring St. Andrews. We wouldn’t hesitate to book it again when we travel to St. Andrews.

Outstanding nice and cosy cottage in walking distance to tee off at the old course

We really enjoyed our stay at this cosy cottage. Location ist just fantastic and the house is nice and cosy. We would definitely book again if we plan to come back to St. Andrews. Bedrooms are actually larger than the look on the pictures and kitchen is tiny but well equipped. One thing to mention: Unfortunately, there were some constructions works ongoing during our stay in the garden next to us with the access through our property which was a little bit disturbing and the rental agency did not react to an email complaint about that. Would at least have appreciated an information beforehand… Nevertheless, property definitely five starts for a golfing visit to St. Andrews. We walked out of the house and were within five minutes at the tee of the old course!
