With 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom this unit is the perfect size for a couple out for an unforgettable Hawaiian retreat. At the end of the day, relax outside on the private lanai with a mai tai & simply take in your the incredible view as the sun slips behind the Pacific Ocean you’ll be able to enjoy amazing Hawaiian sunsets from both the lanai and the living room! New mattress installed May 2019 & new sofa bed July 2018. NOTE - There is no air conditioning.

Located on the top floor (4th floor) in the very quiet Kona Bali Kai condominium complex, this condo is ideally situated close to all activities, beaches, shopping, and restaurants in Kona. You’ll find tide pools directly outside for exploring, and the famous Banyans surf spot is located right in front. “Da Poke Shack," rated number 1 on Yelp’s “100 Best Places to Eat in America,” is conveniently located on the premises, so definitely make sure to check it out for a tasty meal! You and your travel companion will also have access to the communal barbeque area with picnic table and courtyard swimming pool inside the complex, just in case you desire a change of pace from the sand and surf. A Great Condo!

We loved our stay here. The views can’t be beat. The furniture was comfortable - I really slept well! The kitchen was well equipped with every thing we needed. Lots of spices there for our use too. There is plenty of snorkel equipment, beach towels, etc. We had a little trouble getting the tv going and were completely impressed with the local contact, she was quick and efficient and such a nice person - a real gem. We can recommend highly!

Lavaman Triathlon Race

We visited Kona so my son could participate in the Lavaman race. We really enjoyed our stay. The condo has an amazing view! Everything was clean and comfortable. Great location, not far from restaurants and shopping.

Great views and locale

We have stayed at various KBK properties for the past 20 years. This unit has wonderful views and the host is very responsive as is his local contact. Unit is a bit dated though clean and appointed with everything one needs for a great stay. Our only wish, especially for the price point, is that the unit had a/c for the 3:30 to 5:30pm hot part of the day or additional shades to keep the unit cooler when there are no breezes during those warm hours.

Beautiful ocean view

Beautiful ocean view out the very private lanai. Very comfortable mattress. Parking is adequate and access is easy from the street. As other reviews stated the bedroom is facing the street and at times can be noisy. Otherwise a very nice stay.

Paradise 🌸🌞🌴

We stayed here our last 2 days of a 12 day trip. It was absolutely amazing! I wish we could’ve stayed longer. The condo was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. As was the couch which is where I slept so I could hear the waves crashing as I fell asleep. We found a little beach area just down the stairs with a picnic table so you could sit and enjoy the waves in the sun. Very close to everything. I would definitely stay here again!!

First time in Hawaii

Very nice condo facing the ocean, ten feet from the water. An older property and well maintained. No air conditioning and it is not needed with the ocean breeze. Two beaches close by. Sand there is course than other beaches on Kona. Close to shops and other activities. The condo is quite, has a pool and an elevator.

Perfect for a quiet stay!

My husband and I honeymooned here in early May 2024. The pictures on the listing are EXACTLY what to expect we were so excited to see the view in person. The building itself is a little dated, but as soon as we got to our room we completely forgot about it. When we first arrived we were nervous about the noise level we would hear from being so close to the street, however the waves themselves were so loud we couldn’t hear anything over them. Kitchen was perfect for our breakfasts and lunches, and having a washer dryer in unit was a blessing. We are so excited to come back someday!

In March 2014 we vacationed on the Big Island for the first time and fell in love with the island. We purchased a townhouse that year (www.vrbo.com/578036) and love coming back regularly to Kona. In May 2017 we purchased this condo and love the view from the lanai along with the vibe inside the condo. We hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

The view from the lanai is spectacular and you can just sit and lounge there all day watching the turtles, fish, whales and the waves rolling in. It has a great island feel with the decor inside the condo along with nice artistic touches of painted murals on the wall.

What makes this property unique
