Ancient Tower House dating back to 1191 owned by the Counts Guidi: used to establish dominion over the Valdarno. Structure that has expanded over time passing to the Conti CONCINI and then to the Medici Tornaquinci branch. Entry into family ownership in the mid-800s. It is characterized by the wide panorama that can be enjoyed on the Valdarno at 180 degrees. Ideal location for a relaxing time, even if in a central position to visit Florence (25 km), Arezzo (30 km), Siena (35 km) and Chianti. Also of considerable interest is the branch of the Via Francigena, called the "SETTEPONTI" road, on which one can visit various Romanesque and Longobard churches built by the workers who traveled and headed to Rome. In Cascia there is the first painting by Masaccio, called "Trittico di San Giovenale". Masaccio was born in San Giovanni Valdarno, son of the Notary. Customers can admire the BALZE and taste various typical dishes of the local cuisine.
