We had the most amazing weekend at this outstanding property! The house was next level creme de la creme from the well taken care of grounds to the build of the cabin.... again, next level. Shower pressure! Oh my....yes! Sitting on the edge of the river by the fire pit in the evening with drinks is a must as well. We felt like we where in our own little world out here it was so private and quite. This cabin belongs in a Filson catalog! üåüüåüüåüüåüüåüWe will be coming back as long as its available to rent for the foreseeable future. Has everything you need. It's perfect. Communication was great. Thanx for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home. Until next time.

Skykomish River cabin is as beautiful in person as it is in photos! And the river is even better!! We had a wonderful time relaxing amongst mountain views and crystal clear water. Our only regret is that we did not bring tubes or floats, as the river was perfect for playing and the sun was hot and shining! The authentic log cabin is charming and lovely with attention to detail. The kitchen was stocked with cooking utensils, spices, etc. The 2 main bedrooms are very comfortable and the loft easily accommodates lots of kids. We had 4 young adult children (17-25) who slept in the common space loft and they found it to be sufficient and spacious. Lastly, there are plenty of amazing hikes and day trips in the area. It was a wonderful stay and we would recommend and return!

Great river access, comfortable cabin
REVIEW DETAIL
Our family of 2 adults and 2 young kids loved our time at this cabin! The inside space is comfortable and well-stocked and the outside space can't be beat. The deck and yard were great for both kid time and solo adult time and the access to the river is excellent with many rocks for skipping, exploring and building, a sandy-ish area with less rocks and slow moving water (great for the kids) and lots of space for fishing. The owner was very accessible and responded to messages quickly. Thank you for sharing this lovey space, we hope to be back soon!

Our last night at the cabin my husband and I were sitting by the fire looking up at an incredible scene of stars and I said “in our review of this place is it too much to say this cabin is what dreams are made of?” We decided it was the most accurate statement we could make about the cabin. It’s so perfect! My family had the most amazing time playing by the river, doing nearby hikes and having nightly fires with s’mores. We celebrated my birthday and our anniversary there with our kids and could not have had better days. My boys asked if we could live there and my husband and I want to return every summer. John and Lilah are very kind, helpful and communicative. Thank you for sharing your amazing space with us, we can’t wait to visit again!

New Year’s Eve Stay
We brought another couple and a group of my son’s friends to celebrate NYE. We hiked locally during the day and enjoyed the cabin in the evening. It was the perfect space for our group. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this cabin if you’re looking for a cozy cabin experience.

An amazing autumn weekend stay
We once again had a perfect time at our "adopted cabin" as the kids refer to it now (hope that's OK)! We can't wait to be back. We celebrated our son's 10th birthday with beautiful weather and Autumn colors by the river by day and cozy evenings by night. We are very grateful that you are willing to share this wonderful and peaceful spot on this planet with us and with all the others who are lucky enough to stay as well.

We love the outdoors. Having fun while cycling, golfing, fishing, hiking, antiquing and exploring is a great way to educate and stay involved with our children! We look forward to sharing this wonderful log cabin and want to hear back from you on how we can improve your experience. We want to work with each and every guest on a personal level so you will enjoy your experience and have memories of staying here for a lifetime.

Why they chose this property

The recent purchase of this cabin which we named Skykomish River Lodge was the result of a lot of day trips throughout King County and Snohomish County. Our criteria was very detailed and we were not going to veer off much from it. The cabin had to be on a river with good fishing, great views of the river and mountains (we especially did not want to be looking out at other cabins) close to Seattle and close to a ski resort. Thats it. Well we found the perfect place and now will be sharing this very unique Norwegian cut log home. The lot is nearly one acre, the adjoining lot to the west is owned by the state and will never be built on and the view of the Cascade Mountain peaks and the South Fork of the Skykomish River are spectacular. We are 60 minutes from Seattle and just a little less than that from Leavenworth. What more could we ask for? :)

What makes this property unique

We had a fairly long check list when we started to shop for a cabin in Washington. The Skykomish River Lodge filled the bill to say the least! Its located right on the Skykomish River with great fishing right from your backyard! Its a custom handcrafted log home using cedar logs from the property. A beautiful 2 story river rock fireplace is part of the focus in the house, but it competes with the views of the river and towering mountain peaks which you can see from nearly every window. King size bed is in master bed room and two queen beds in down stairs bed room. Its off the street and extremely quiet and peaceful.
