Mountain Play Chalet is your new favorite starting point for all the best North Cascades and Stevens Pass recreation! This charming A-frame was completely remodeled and furnished in 2018 specifically to accommodate our guests, ensuring a comfortable and care-free stay any time of year. Just 15 minutes west of the Stevens Pass Mountain Resort, this is one of the closest nightly rentals to their ski and snowboarding slopes, hiking and downhill bike trails. Amazing hikes, snowshoe trails, waterfalls, and more are all just minutes away- so come and play!

This place is nearly perfect. Not only is it pristinely, clean and organized, but has all of the amenities, including a grill, a deck, a hot tub suite decor inside and proximity to Stevens along with all the other nature around.Even a very, very sweet doggy to come over and play with my doggy, which exercised her so well because she needed it.

Such a beautiful and cozy cabin! We had a wonderful time relaxing in the hot tub and exploring the area over a holiday weekend. You can hear the river in the distance and the neighbors were very quiet, so it felt very private despite a couple other vacation rentals in the same area. My only note for future visitors - that spiral staircase is steeper than it looks! Our 3 year old navigated it fine with someone spotting him but it might be tough for a younger kid without assistance. They very thoughtfully have a gate installed at the top to keep everyone contained at night so we weren’t worried. I hope we’ll be returning to the cabin soon - thank you for a wonderful time!

Mountain Escape

this was the perfect getaway for my friend who was visiting from out of town. The house was perfectly equipped for cooking dinner in and the launching pad for great hikes all around. Great A-frame!

We had a wonderful stay here. We drove up from Leavenworth, skied/boarded at Steven's Pass, then hiked at Heywood. The hot tub was great after both! The mattresses were quite comfortable, even both of the twins. We don't normally cook at STRs, but I was so glad to have cooking stuff. The closest restaurant was closed by the time we got back from Steven's, so we picked up some eggs & pizza at the Sky gas station.

Great hideaway in the woods 15 min from Stevens Pass. Spacious kitchen and full fridge. A-frame makes the sleeping quarters a little tight but it was perfect for our needs. Hot tub was great after skiing! Movies were a nice bonus.

Perfect ski chalet

My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights while skiiing. It was the perfect, cozy chalet to come back to after a day on the slopes. The hot tub was awesome, and watching movies with a fire going in the woodstove was the perfect end to each day.

Cozy Cabin Getaway

The Mountain Play Chalet was great for a couples' weekend getaway! The house was clean, nicely furnished and well stocked with everything you needed to prepare meals. The hot tub was relaxing after exploring some nearby hikes and the DVD collection and fireplace made for cozy evenings on the couch. The only downside to this rental is that it shares a driveway with multiple homes so it's not as secluded as it looks in the photos.

Cute stay

It was great to be so close to the river and we loved having the jacuzzi available which was clearly well taken care of. It felt fairly private but is still very close to the neighboring property, so if people are out and about you should know that you might be visible to others while being in the jacuzzi. Another thing to note is the loft where the bedroom is can feel a bit claustrophobic if you're sensitive to that sort of thing! Overall a great stay though, and would come back again!

Excellent location. About an hour from Leavenworth and close to lots of trails. Hot tub was nice after a long day. Cabin is cozy and had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable. Stairs to upstairs are a spiral metal staircase to maximize room in the cabin. If you have accessibility issues this may be hard to get upstairs to the beds.

Cozy place near a magical river

We really enjoyed our stay here, we had a fire going, which kept us toasty! It was only 15 minutes to Stevens, which made it very easy for us to get up there early. We will be coming back!

Nice cabin, I brought extra firewood based on a prior review but there is a huge shed right next to the hot tub stacked with seasoned hardwood. BYOB for the outdoor fire pit.

Perfect home-base for winter activities

We loved our stay here! So cozy, really fit the mood for a winter adventure in the mountains! Well stocked and equipped with everything you’ll need to cook meals and enjoy the atmosphere. We skiied up at Stevens Pass and this location was just perfect in terms of proximity.
