The property was beautiful and perfect for our stay. It was incredibly quiet and serene. We used the deck area and outdoor grill, enjoyed early morning coffee on the dock, and evening sauna sessions. The property owner was an excellent hostess and made sure we had everything we needed.
We had a wonderful time here! Our family booked both units and there was plenty to do. Our hosts were extremely accommodating and easy to communicate with. We had so much fun on the lake. Amenities were impressive. Would definitely come back!
LeAnn and family helped provide us with a great place to stay while we explored Nikiski and Kenai. The house was clean and cozy and they were very attentive to all our needs. You can’t beat a dip in the lake after sweating in the sauna. Would highly recommend this spot!
This was our third time staying here. Our hosts were great, preparing the sauna Friday and Saturday night, which felt great after long days of wrestling. The location was great, it's beautiful there, and I can't think of anything I didn't like. Looking forward to our next stay!
I enjoyed staying here very much. It is in a beautiful, peaceful area, and the location is picturesque yet easy to find and close to town. The home is lovely, beautifully maintained and clean, and I felt right at home. Leann was incredibly responsive and did everything she could to make my stay pleasant. I will definitely be staying here again in the future!
Had a wonderful stay at Dragonfly. The property was just as described, well equipped, and comfortable. We were able to enjoy the sauna...thanks :-). The lake is just beautiful.
This property was very clean and well maintained. The setting right on the lake was very beautiful. The location was good for us because we needed to attend multiple functions at the local High School. We didn't have the time to take advantage of amenities such as the sauna or kayaks but we did use the barbeque and firepit which was very nice. LeeAnn was very attentive and always responded to my texts in a timely manor. We had a very good experience here.
Prior to our arrival, the host provided us with very detailed instructions on how to reach the property, so it was easy to find. The hosts were very friendly and provided us with helpful with tips on places to eat and visit. The property was clean and stocked with all the basics, such as dishes and spices. This was a beautiful location on the lake and we took full advantage of the fishing poles and row boat! The location is very peaceful and quiet.
This is an absolutely beautiful property and LeAnn the host is a well organized “detail oriented person” so you won’t have any problem finding stuff etc. My only complaints are: A. the main bed is a bit hard for my liking B. Like most rentals the knives were suoer dull (most guests don’t REALLY COOK like I do) and C. Ms. LeAnn is a bit (as we say here in the South) “persnickety” for a “fly by the seat of his pants, gregarious, dad” traveling w/ two well behaved young kids. A bit too many detailed rules to worry about I suppose that’s the flip side of “detailed & well organized” which I like & appreciate. Overall a good experience and the lake is just beautiful. If you have kids then HER KIDS should be considered “an amenity” as they had instant playmates! :-)
Beautiful property. House layout was perfect for our family. They had everything we needed. We often cooked breakfast and supper there, then explored the peninsula during the day. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed for cookware, etc., even spices! The lake is beautiful and the hosts are very gracious.
I thought LeAnn was going to have to evict me from this place. It was awesome. We came to enjoy some Alaska winter and it’s exactly what we were looking for. Secluded and rural but close enough to explore the Kenai Peninsula. LeAnn will be as hands on or hands off as you want. The space was perfect for me and my daughter and was absolutely immaculate.
Soooo glad we choose this property for our stay in late August. If your looking for a place that is remote but not desolate this is the place. Its about 25 min from the nearest Walmart / town. Paved roads 98% of the way then a maintained gravel road for .4 mile ( our Mercedes rental car did just fine; if you need a rental look at "Turro" ride sharing for car rentals and save yourself $150 day vs airport rental rates) This property lies at the end of a road so there's not much traffic on the road. We stayed in duplex #2 and had zero complaints. This dwelling is freshly remodeled and everything inside is new and clean. It has a kitchen stocked with basic pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, coffee pot and utensils. It does have some random spices and such. Has a washer/dryer. Has cable and wifi, not that we had time for that with a dock in the backyard equipped with fishing poles and some basic tackle. Once we were tired of fishing we took the complimentary canoe out for a paddle around Daniels lake ( very calm waters). The wood fired sauna was just what we needed after a long day of whale watching in Seward. There is a propane grill and fireplace outside next to the deck. Big manicured yard. The host was very fast and communicative when responding back and forth before the trip, she even gave us a briefing about all the road construction from Anchorage and to expect delays along the way. She was very friendly during our stay and made us feel as family. Would definitely stay here again on our next vacation.
