We love staying here. The secluded area and beautiful scenery make sitting in the hot tub outside even more enjoyable. For a wonderful getaway, we highly recommend this place!!!
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The creek running alongside the property was super relaxing, and it was so quiet. We journeyed to the nearby brewery and enjoyed the town of Hot Springs, in addition to going on some beautiful hikes and very scenic drives.
Tom and Rebecca provided a clean and peaceful environment to get away. We had a relaxing weekend that provided many adventures and beautiful scenery. We will definitely be back.
Tucked back just 20 minutes from Hot Springs is this beautiful little property. My husband and I loved the stay! If you want private access to a little creek, this is the place to go! Tom and Rebecca also had extensive hiking info for the area, which was much appreciated!
First off, the owners are wonderful; incredibly respectful, responsive and kind. The cabins (we had many) were clean and offered everything we needed. The area was perfect for hiking, birding, nature, relaxation and reflection. Hot Springs is about a 25 min drive away and has done cool restaurants/bars and a nice outfitter.

Thank you for visiting us. We hope to see you again soon... Tom
This property is all it was advertised as, if not more! Far out in the rural area, very large property that was well marked and maintained. Quick access to the AT, although somewhat of a moderate climb. Outside of cabin was clean and beautiful. The creek that runs past the front porch creates a relaxing atmosphere. Inside the cabin was clean, comfortable and cozy. We did not have to have any extra contact with the owners, they did a great job on explaining everything in their welcome book. Great place for nature lovers or couples who want alone time.
great place for a true mountain and romantic getaway
this is a great place to getaway and relax. this was our first time in North Carolina. the owners Tom and Rebecca are one of the best owners i have had the experience with on vrbo. they are friendly and are concerned with you having the best getaway. their communication through this vacation was top notch.
the Moondance cabin is simple, but has all you need to stay in the mountains. the cabin is near the creek and was pleasant to hear it at night. The sounds of the water and nature were relaxing. It was what we were looking for on this vacation. All three of their cabins are in the same location. DUE to the location , you are in the mountains and are driving mountain roads , very different then city roads and the time it takes to go 8 miles. The suggestion from Tom was to buy your groceries before your arrival and im glad we did, the town and stores are a drive. this is a great place to get away from city life or the public in general. we enjoyed hiking some of their property including the waterfall trail. you are about 30 mins from Hot Springs . BOTTOM LINE IF YOU WANT THE MOUNTAIN EXPIERENCE AND TO GETAWAY FROM EVERYDAY LIFE , ANY OF THEIR CABINS ARE THE PERFECT CHOICE.
Beautiful property in a great spot to access the AT. Check in was easy. Hosts provided good information on area attractions. We were able to do several local day hikes - Walnut Mountain Shelter to Lemon Gap, Lovers Leap & Pump Gap Trail in Hot Springs, a drive up to Rich Mountain fire tower and the star: Sunrise at Max Patch. Super grateful for the comfortable cabin to come back to and the hot tub after a long day of hiking. The colors on the trees were amazing for our late Oct trip. This was the perfect stay for our trip!
Hot spring fed water hot tub, spring water fed sink and shower. Amazing views , hikes , waterfalls, gardens, etc etc
Tom and Rebecca have done the most incredible job with the grounds and spiritually infused areas throughout.
We will be back !!!!
Everything we could have wanted for a carefree, secluded, relaxing anniversary weekend. Clean, well equipped, and cozy cabin. Beautiful country surroundings. Tom and Rebecca have a good thing going here! We'll be back!
We had such a wonderful time at Moondance. We loved the hot tub for relaxing and especially the access to the AT for a long hike! The waterfall in the property is impressive and fun to explore. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We loved it for our anniversary weekend!
What a great place! My wife and I were looking for some seclusion at a location with plenty of nearby activities and we found it! Enjoyed the hiking on the property, taking in Max Patch, and soaking in the hot tub. Hated to leave but already planning a return!
This sweet little cabin is so charming and set right beside a babbling creek just adds to the magic. The hot tub is perfect and the cabin has everything you need. There is tons of great things to do and explore in the area and even a waterfall hike on the property. We will be staying there again!
So much love and thoughtful attention goes into their land and their hosting. A rejuvenating, inspiring, and peaceful stay :)

Nice getaway
The only thing we went fond of was such a long drive to a store 🙂 Based on online pictures and description, we thought we would be on a bigger piece of land more secluded and not within walking distance of a neighbor, but it worked this time.
This property was very beautiful and very clean. The photos do not do it justice. The cabin looks almost brand new on the inside. When we arrive there were fresh cut flowers on the porch, which was a super sweet touch. I cannot stress how clean this place was. The hot tub was spotless too. I will be recommending to family and friends. If you’re looking for a fairly secluded place to stay in Pisgah National Forrest, this is the place for you!
My husband and I stayed in the Moondance cabin. It was a wonderful getaway for us. We enjoyed the cabin next to the creek and the hot tub on the porch. Many hiking trails are close by also. On the property is a short hike to a beautiful waterfall.
I highly recommend this cabin for your next get away.
You must bring all of your own food as Hot Springs is about a 25 minute drive away.
Very private and very relaxing! Will definitely be back!
