We wanted somewhere new for a birthday night out as we are in our 50’s didn’t want a mad one, never been to Scarborough and the cottage was beautiful very clean and lovely decor we stayed in hottie cottage 🤣 only down side was our friends had two single beds but probably our fault we didn’t specify we wanted double beds but it didn’t spoil our night and all slept well, furniture in the double room is beautiful and the bottle of wine was a lovely touch, parking was brilliant will deffo look at staying again
This house was in a great location, off road parking and just off the main road going through the town centre. Everything that we needed was provided. Would definitely recommend and would return again.
Really pleased with the terraced house. Literally minutes from the beach, and restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Plenty of room for our family of four.
Fantastic lovely clean place to stay , nothing was to much trouble.
Steff you & your staff were amazing, thank you so much for letting us use your beautiful place .
On behalf of us all thank you so much & we really hope we can stay here again very soon .
***** five star rating & keep up the great work.
Cottage has been fitted out to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean. The off street parking is really useful. Location is ideal for seaside attractions but also very quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended, I
Was a little nervous prior to arrival as had no check in details until the day. However, phone numbers were provided (on the day) and check in was easy and earlier than the advertised time. Accommodation is lovely and clean, and well equipped. Good location, close to front.
Very nice holiday home. Good location for shops, beach and sightseeing . Bonus is it has private off-road parking. Also there is a small outside area with a picnic bench set. Had a great holiday.
The staff were very polite and friendly.
The apartment was very clean, tidy and well presented. Even some nice litter touches to welcome you to your stay.
Would definitely recommend them and use them again.
Thank you!!!
Lucky to find this property for a short break in Scarborough. Off road parking in central Scarborough was a bonus. Local family run business which made the booking process and key collection pleasant and personal. Bright modern interior, well equipped, comfortable and clean. Smart modern bathroom and comfortable beds. Selection of teas and coffees on arrival was nice, as well as a pack of local fudge and a bottle of prosecco in the fridge. Great location for walking out to the town centre or beach, or a base for exploring the area. Would use this cottage again.
Firstly I have had to let my anger evaporate in order to write this review so that it is fair and balanced.
We only stayed two days at this property despite booking for seven. This is not a cottage but a tired mid- terrace property in a very busy part of the town. The entrance is by locked gates into the small paved garden and there are notices around warning of vandalism. The owner is very ill which affected my judgement of not reporting all the defects immediately or as we found them, but we had agreed that because of my allergy to pet hair that she would give it a deep clean before my arrival which was not done. Covid cleanliness rules in this property were non existent, and it is nothing like the picture depicts. Upstairs the property is fine apart from the wash hand basin pop- up plug which was foul with hair and other detritus.
The cooker was a disgrace, we could not use the hob and the oven had a film of grease on the inside door. The freezer was iced up with food from previous tenants. The washer/dryer did not appear to be working. The rug on the lounge floor was very heavily soiled, the sofa was covered in pet hair and the soft furnishings were again heavily stained. I removed these and put them in another area. The pots had left- over food detritus in them and the frying pan supplied was dangerous with a loose handle This property has never seen a "fallow" week for deep cleaning. I complained to the owner on day three which was my mistake but again was trying not to trouble her due to her illness. I insisted that her representative was sent round who took photographs and told us that if we were not satisfied we could leave that day and the owner had advised her that she would compenstate us for the five days not used via VRBO. We immediately agreed and left the property at twelve noon that day. We trusted her representative to do the right thing. This was a big mistake as the owners son who apparently handles the bookings (badly) i.e. giving wrong postal codes/tel nos for contact wrote to us and told us that we "wanted to go home" which was not the case and consequently we were not getting a monetary refund and denied that the representaive (Sophie) had advised us of refund. We are 73 and 72 respectively and cannot have people taking money from us and not supplying what was offered We have made a complaint to VRBO who told us they are writing to the owner to ask for the five days compensation and I await this.

Response from VrboOwner on 21 October 2020
Christine sent 3 messages prior to arrival asking about a refund due to a potential lockdown. We advised this is possible a couple of weeks before, but not the week of arrival as we would be unable to re-let the property.
Christine subsequently arrived from a covid hot spot and we believe they wanted to head back home, but obviously wanted their refund which they had previously asked about several weeks prior.
Rather than explaining the situation to us they intentionally damaged our property and lied.
'' We have spent two days cleaning the property because it was so dirty but we dont have any photos as evidence "
Not only could they not provide photographic evidence we also checked the bins once they had left and there was no evidence of any cleaning products.
"there was red wine stains on the carpet and cushions. It was filthy"
There were no red wine stains prior to Christine staying and upon checking the bin we found several empty bottles of whiskey, an empty bottle of red wine along with a broken wine glass....
Unfortunately as Christine did not get her own way I:e the refund she demands she has instead tried to sabotage our small business by leaving the above 1 star review.
I am not sure how, even after the extensive and graphic review she has left, that our communication and house rules are worthy of a 1 star. But then again, this just goes to show the length at which they were willing to go to in order to try to blag a refund.
