Sunny 2 bedroom vintage cottage with garden courtyard, perfectly located in the heart of Downalong, St Ives, just yards from the harbour front, shops, restaurants, The Tate Gallery and three beautiful beaches. Separate kitchen diner, good sized living room, king size bed and twin beds

Conveniently located in Downalong a short walk from just about everything,

Southern Comfort is among very few cottages in the Downalong area of St Ives that has outside space. Comfortable Boho styling of the cottage combines mid century pieces along side antiques and contemporary pieces. We’ve preserved many original features of the cottage: Victorian stripped floorboards, beamed ceilings, original timber walls and retaining a wonderful, cosy atmosphere.

Sunny living room with window seat, 3 seater John Lewis sofa, 2 Parker Knoll armchairs, GPlan coffee table, log burning stove.

Separate kitchen diner with scrub top pine table for comfortably seating 4 and well equipped kitchen with fridge freezer and dishwasher.

Spacious kingsize main bedroom with TV, twin room with full size single beds. Newlyrefurbished bathroom with rainfall shower.

Lovely enclosed, front courtyard benefiting from the sun for long periods of the day, furnished with bistro table and 4 chairs and string lights for dining al-fresco. Separate outside rear area for drying wetsuits etc and storing beach equipment

There is free very fast Starlink internet connection with WiFi available in the cottage, the smart TV’s have access to various streaming services.

Lovely stay

Loved everything about the cottage - only slight quibble was the shower (difficult to moderate temperature). The owner was quick to answer any questions and very friendly. Would definitely this cottage- great location and homely. Thank you!

Southern Comfort Cottage was clean, cosy and central to shops, restaurants and pubs but in a quiet backwater. Lovely log fire to cosy up to and big tele to watch our favourite films. If I was being picky there were not enough glasses including Prosecco flutes and whisky glasses and back door did not shut properly. We had some communication issues including not having code to access outside key safe but quickly sorted. All in all a great holiday in a great little cottage in a great place.

Lovely cottage

A lot of character,tastefully decorated with painted wooden furniture. Warm and very comfortable. Home from home. One minutes walk to the sea. Definitely recommended.

Very cute and quaint cottage but in need of some TLC

We stayed here for a weekend in October. We had a really lovely weekend and enjoyed the experience of staying in such an old quaint cottage. However, it is in need of some TLC and some basic things need updating as feels quite tired - if this is done it would make this a great place to stay. The location couldn’t be better in order to experience all st ives has to offer.

Very rustic

Even though I knew the cottage was olde worlde it was just a little bit to far for us. Some basic maintenance is required to just increase the experience a bit more
