Red Dog Retreat is located in a quiet wooded oasis 2.5 miles directly up the hill from downtown Broad St.
Only a 7 minute easy drive to Historic Downtown Nevada City and 15 minutes to the Yuba River.
Walking and biking trails are steps away from our property and we are a short drive to Scott's Flat Reservoir.
Bring your bikes, boats and kayaks!
Grill and sit around the fire pit on our wrap around deck.
I love my peaceful home and look forward to sharing my quiet oasis with guests from all backgrounds.
I live part time in the studio that is attached to the garage. Guests may see me occasionally in the long driveway when I take my dog out for a walk. If you do see me while you are here, feel free to say hello or ask me for whatever you might need, otherwise, I will completely respect your privacy.

Why they chose this property
Nevada City is one of the most beautiful and historically interesting cities in California. There are plenty of amazing restaurants, bars and breweries, and grocery stores for such a quaint town. The Victorian Christmas is a must! Tahoe is an hour drive. And perhaps the biggest draw is the pristine Yuba River!
What makes this property unique
Located close to town, but far enough away to be quiet and restful. Most everyone comments on how peaceful it is to sit inside or on the deck overlooking the trees. The beds are high end and super comfy, and the decor is thoughtful and modern, while still feeling cozy. I also provide an extremely well stocked kitchen.
